On July 8, the winners of the 2019 Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019, the best designer and manufacturer of the year, gathered in Essen, Germany to celebrate the moment of glory.

The award ceremony brought together top international designers to crown the pioneers of the industry. At the Red Dot event, the winners of the Red Dot: Best of the Best (Red Dot: Best of the Best) laurels won the trophy in the presence of 1200 international people in the Essen Alto Opera House (Aalto-Theater), Feeling like a wave of praise.

Red Dot: Best of the Best (Red Dot: Best of the Best) is the highest honor of the annual Red Dot event. This year, there are only 80 award-winning works. With their unique pioneering designs, they stood out in the fierce competition of more than 5 or 500 entries and won the unanimous favor of the jury. Therefore, celebrating the hard-working designers and manufacturers behind these outstanding achievements is also an important part of the red dot event. They deservedly received the trophy of honor on the stage of the Opera House in Essen Alto, which won warm applause from the audience.

In addition to the winners, the founder and chairman of the Red Dot Award organization, Dr. Peter Zec (Professor Dr. Peter Zec), also invited three red dot judges: Nils Toft (founder and general manager of Designidea), Stefan Eckstein (founder and chairman of Eckstein Design), and Dr. Ken Nah (Professor of Design, International Design Institute, Hongik University, South Korea), representing 40 judges of the Red Dot Jury. The Red Dot Design Museum Essen, a design hall built on the Zollverein World Heritage Site in the Customs Union Coal Mine Industrial Zone, welcomed many winners of the Red Dot and Honourable Mention on the night of July 8.

They became the focus of the whole designer night when they received their honorary certificates. Later, they used carnival, dance and carefree communication to share the joy of victory. The guests also exclusively pre-appreciated the three special exhibitions that will be officially opened on July 12. At the first exhibition, they experienced some award-winning products and enjoyed the top designs.

Top designs to be displayed in Essen, Germany-until August 25
The exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum Essen reflects the most advanced and current product design trends. Among the three special exhibitions, the exhibition "2019 Milestones in Modern Design (Milestones in Contemporary Design 2019)" will show the products that won the Red Dot Best Design Award, and the exhibition "Design on Stage 2019 in 2019" will show the winning products of Red Dot and Excellent Work (Honourable Mention).

For enterprises that have not received the award-winning certificate in Germany for various reasons, Red Dot China will be uniformly distributed (to be distributed in early August 2019). All award-winning enterprises are also sincerely welcome to visit the third Red Dot Design Museum in the world and the first Red Dot Design Museum in China.

Using more than 60 years of international top design award operation experience and design resources, and continuing the international evaluation criteria and organizational process of the Red Dot Design Award, the Red Dot Award organization launched the "Contemporary Good Design" award (CGD) in China in 2015, aiming at selecting good designs for contemporary society and hoping to provide the best service to the winners. CGD will provide winners with five categories of services including product promotion, brand promotion, sales promotion, public relations activities and brand support.

In addition to service upgrades, the CGD Award category has been increased to 49 categories, including new packaging design categories. The CGD Global Recruitment Award has now been launched to accept applications from designers and manufacturers from all over the world (the design products must have entered the mass production stage).
