A shoe getting stuck in an escalator can happen to anyone. The current solutions to this problem only address the physical aspect, limiting the effectiveness. Beforehand Edge-Up solves this problem by elevating the edges of steps. When the rider steps on the edges it is instantly clear that they are near the edges since the floor is angled. The angled plane also reduces the contact area between the shoe and the wall, decreasing the chances of the shoe getting wedged.
