This is a product I designed in a design company that makes 3D wooden puzzles. As an authentic Cantonese, in my childhood memory, I would see gongs and drums on the streets and dancing lions every festive festival. It happened that the company needed to launch a new year's product in the new year, so I tried to design a new year's wooden puzzle product with the theme of lion dance "lion goes well".
The "Lion Things" product includes golden boys and girls (boys are lions and girls are Buddhas). Because it is positioned as a gift and to highlight the festive atmosphere of the New Year, the main colors of the product are red and gold. Of course, the most difficult thing in the design process is the restoration of the lion's head. On the premise of smooth plugging, the details are as rich as possible, and the final effect is quite satisfactory. Finally, in order to make the whole product more complete. A peach blossom tree was also added as a background to enrich the scene.
The lion dance presents the New Year, and the golden boy and jade girl send blessings to welcome the Year. The lion highlights the prosperity and wealth, the hairpin hanging red business is booming, the auspicious lion helps to kill the four sides, and the golden lion is full of power and majesty. I hope that every assembly can bring the beautiful meaning of this lion dance culture to customers, which is also my original intention to design the lion.
