The project is a mixed-use building that integrates commercial and residential functions. It is located on an extremely prominent corner plot in Azhabuzhuang, Tokyo, which is famous for being a prosperous business district. The building volume consists of a 3-storey "glass" commercial building on the main street and a 9-storey "concrete" residential tower, which is accessible through the 2nd floor entrance located on the elevated side street. Its most unique design element is a series of "stepped strip windows" on the residential floor, which are designed to achieve an excellent balance, both to provide excellent views of the landscape and to avoid line-of-sight interference from the building across the street, which may affect the residents' sense of privacy.
