For most people, the probability of contacting the deaf-mute group in life is very low, and the frequent contact is even less. The only impression may be that in some public places, such groups are "compared" with their peers. We may think: Where do they come from? What do they do? Whose parents or whose children are they?
Stereotypes between people are everywhere. Deaf-mute people are not full of inferiority complex, do not want to escape from society, do not curl up in a corner of society waiting for the assistance of the state and someone to solve the problem of food and clothing; on the contrary, many of them are glowing in their own positions. They also have their own ideas and will resist the arrangement of life. They also have blood and want to struggle, they are full of confidence and hope for integration into society and people.
What they want is very simple: listen, and talk
The product design is dedicated to improving the quality of life of the deaf-mute group. Through the mutual conversion of sign language, voice, text, and images, the sound information that the deaf-mute can't hear at ordinary times is visually presented in the form of holographic images; when expressing my intentions, The front camera and sensor device will recognize the sign language information and convey it to ordinary people with normal hearing in the form of voice broadcast, to complete the barrier-free communication between the deaf-mute group and the healthy listening group.
In addition, in some specific application scenarios, the product will also give hints to the wearer in different forms, such as lights, vibrations, graphic hints, etc., to enhance the life experience of deaf-mute groups.
Two user questionnaires were made respectively. The first one was aimed at the general population. I probably learned the current social population's cognition of the deaf-mute group and what attitude they hold towards the product.
The second questionnaire is specifically aimed at the deaf-mute group. Due to the low number of samples obtained, some of the conclusions drawn from this questionnaire were not thought of during the group discussion, but it is also sufficient to verify the design direction we set at the beginning.
User portrait
We also did a separate user interview to intercept some key contents.
According to the results of the questionnaire and the interview, the design requirements summarized are roughly divided into several categories: explicit requirements, implicit requirements, functional requirements, hardware requirements, and emotional requirements.
User journey map, a deaf-mute person may encounter various things in an ordinary day, and experience different emotional ups and downs, happiness, sadness, excitement, grievance, chagrin......
In this process, find pain points and opportunities
The existing auxiliary products on the market for the deaf-mute are roughly divided into hearing aids and other categories, and their functional focus is analyzed and summarized respectively.

Sony was chosen because it often engages in some novel black technologies. then this task is left to him!
The hearing aid earphones that can be separated separately, the deaf-mute group is roughly divided into two categories: complete loss of hearing, and partial hearing
Holographic display of text is one of the core functions of the product. When the other party speaks, subtitles appear in front of him in real time.
Road Safety Scenarios for Deaf and Mute People Wearing Perspective
When there is a potential traffic hazard, the deaf-mute may be reminded to avoid it by flashing or vibrating.
Public transport scenarios with deaf-mute wearing perspective
The organic combination with the social public system can greatly facilitate the travel of the deaf and mute.
For example, I can't hear the subway stop and miss the destination.
Deaf-mute people make sign language movements, and the product will recognize and play voice
With the continuous in-depth use of the product, the self-learning function of the product will continue to enrich the application scenarios, and upload the data to the network in real time, and others will download it online in real time, enriching the product functions, so that all wearers can enjoy the convenience brought by modern technology to life.

May I ask how long this whole process took?
First of all, I would like to praise this idea. I have designed products with this function before. If only it could be lighter, it would not affect the wearing of hearing aids. Like back-of-ear hearing aids are to hang the ear (75 decibels above the high power hearing aids are back-of-ear hearing aids, because the high power in the ear is easy to cause howling). Because in terms of display, only one typeset is needed. The appearance design of the product is very fashionable, but it is not suitable for young people who love sports, and it is not suitable for people of other ages. If there is a clip, it can be directly hung on the spectacle frame without lenses, the appearance is low-key and not so high. High turn-back rate. Should be OK (this is also the plan I made before). Not as beautiful as you, but more practical.
Very goodWhat software is used, PS, rhinoceros and keyshot

The design method is used a lot, but the deficiency is that there is no useful conclusion in the most important define stage, and there is no correlation between the design and the previous investigation. The previous research was somewhat paper-based. Come on.

Sony Dafa is good!
This user research is better than the product itself, and the user experience is even better if you consider this one more!
Yes, it was lovely when I was a child. Ha, ha, ha
Did you do it very carefully?
Please praise! Ask for advice!
Is it better to consider the structure again?
