"Suitable" is a water storage tea tray, which is composed of natural stone pan and metal (aluminum) water storage chassis, with simple shape. The disk surface is designed with a drop between a flat surface and a concave surface, with a height difference of 1.6cm. In use, the flat surface is the "dry" area and the concave surface is the "wet" area, which cleverly realizes the separation of dry and wet in the tea making scene. Furthermore, the position of the concave surface is low, and the tea can be visually seen overflowing from the drainage hole, prompting the user to pour the tea.
SHI is a kind of storage-type tea tray, which is made of natural stone and me-tal (aluminum) water chassis, modeling simple. The disk is designed with drop type through the plane with concave surface, with height difference of 1.6 cm. The plane is used as dry areas, the concave as wet areas, which cleverly realizes tea-making scenarios of dry and wet depart. Besides, for the concave is lower, so we can visually see the tea overflowing from the drain, which prompts the user dumping of tea.

The tea tray is generally a flat surface. When in use, tea flows everywhere and is inconvenient to use. This design is inspired by "bridge" and combines plane and concave surface. The contrast between the two shows "morphological tension". The height difference brought by the concave surface not only realizes the "separation of dry and wet", but also facilitates drainage, and at the same time cleverly reminds the state of water storage.
Tea tray is usually plane and tea water flows everywhere when using under the condition, which brings inconvenience. The design inspiration comes from bridge, which integrates plane & concave and presents the tension of shape. The concave brings height difference, which not only realizes dry and wet depart, but also can be easy to drain water, while cleverly reminding the state of water storage.

"Suitable" use natural stone and aluminum. Natural stone is cut and formed by CNC and water knife, and the surface texture is realized by sand blasting. Aluminum uses mold stretching and cutting technology, and the surface treatment of aluminum uses a matte paint process.
SHI is made of natural stone and aluminum. The natural stone is treated by CNC and water knife cutting molding technology, which surface is realized by sandblasting technology. The aluminum is treated by die drawing and cutting technology, which surface is realized by matte painting.

The flat part of the tea tray is the area where the tea set is placed, and the concave part is the operating area. The height difference formed by the flat and concave surfaces can efficiently drain water. When the water in the water storage pan reaches 3/4 of the water storage pan, the user can intuitively observe the water level from the lowest point of the concave surface, which is convenient for timely dumping.

The design of this tea tray belongs to applied research. The concave curvature of the natural stone disk should not only ensure the realization of modeling and efficient drainage, but also meet the prompt of water level. Through virtual simulation and multiple tests of the physical model, the curvature radius of the concave surface is finally determined to be 212mm respectively.
