In order to restore the ecology of the mining area after mining as soon as possible, Cyclic Growth ba-se a combination of a stable hexagonal structure formed by fixing six plants and a top water collection base to provide the plants with necessary water and nutrients for survival in the harsh soil structure. All around the world, the loss of soil vitality through mining, deforestation and other impacts threatens ecosystems. Taking inspiration from nature, the design of the Cyclic Growth ba-se aims to take a first step towards addressing the harmful effects of mining. This low-cost device uses bio-mimicry to support new plant growth in harsh soil and climatic conditions, boosting plants' chance of survival without further human in-put.
