Design significance: On the basis of collecting a large number of Chinese traditional wood carving doors and windows data from the Key Laboratory of Culture and Tourism of Hunan University, the concrete patterns on the doors and windows are designed in a generative way. Explore the significance and value of the existence of concrete patterns in the context of contemporary home decoration, and provide designers with a spiritual library. Among them, this design mainly studies the bird graphics in the traditional wood carving doors and windows. At the design practice level, it mainly discusses the optimization of the posture flow of the spiritual library in the design of bird concrete patterns.
Design overview: Based on the study of traditional Chinese woodcarving doors and windows, the bird patterns are collected and a database is established. Then the shape difference is used to generate a new wood-carved bird pattern. Finally, further exploration of physical production.
Design difficulties: There are two main design difficulties: first, the extraction of door and window patterns. Because the color of doors and windows is relatively uniform, and bird patterns are similar to flower and grass patterns in outline, the process of extracting patterns to establish a database is more complicated. The second is the realization of intelligent generation. Different from the common intelligent face generation in the market now, bird patterns are changeable in posture and styles, so the generated results are difficult to control, so the image interpolation technology is used here to achieve the effect.
