In traditional Chinese health culture, citrus fruits have been used to regulate the body since ancient times. "Shen Nong's Materia Medica" has been recorded in the orange as a medicine; "Compendium of Materia Medica" further summary of the orange peel "qi, dry wet" role. According to traditional Chinese medicine, citrus is warm in nature and sweet in taste, which belongs to the spleen, lung and liver channel, and is related to regulating qi, resolving phlegm, stomach and soothing liver. The Jú Form of Wild Orange Blossom originates from here. The design hopes to extract the concept of "nourishing the body with orange" in traditional Chinese medicine from the traditional medicine and food system, and re-enter modern life in the way of natural citrus essential oil + space fragrance. In the past, "prescriptions" needed to be decocted and taken; today, the aroma can be sensed through natural breathing. Let the traditional health from "taking", to "breathing".
Wild orange prescription JúForm is a fragrance machine with 100% natural citrus essential oil as its core. The product concept is taken from the traditional Chinese thought of compatibility, which combines seven kinds of citrus essential oils according to different roles, so that the aroma is no longer just a single smell, but an olfactory experience with levels and relationships.
In traditional Chinese wellness culture, citrus has long been valued for its relationship to the body and breath. As early as the Shennong Bencao Jing, citrus was recorded as a medicinal ingredient; later, the Compendium of Materia Medicadescribed its traditional role in regulating qi and dispelling dampness.
Jú Form draws from this traditional understanding of “nourishing through citrus”, reinterpreting it through 100% natural citrus essential oils and spatial fragrance.
Traditionally, a formula was prepared through decoction and experienced through ingestion. Jú Form transforms this familiar relationship into a contemporary olfactory experience - allowing the formula to enter everyday life through natural breathing.
From ingestion to inhalation. A traditional formula, reimagined through breath.
In the product form, the design inspiration comes from the Shang Dynasty bronze goblet. The design does not directly duplicate the pattern of bronze vase, but extracts its most recognizable morphological features-the outer edge of the skimmed mouth, the inward neck and the continuous flow of curved surface, and translates the contours of ancient artifacts into contemporary fragrance products through simplification and reconstruction. Bronze gu vessels were originally characterized by a distinct sense of ritual and substantial weight. The design re-adjusts its proportion and curved surface relationship, weakens the visual weight of the utensils, and transforms them from traditional ritual utensils to products that are closer to daily life.
The physical form of Jú Form is inspired by the Bronze Gu, a ritual vessel from the Shang Dynasty.
Rather than reproducing its decorative motifs, the design extracts its most distinctive characteristics - the flared rim, narrowed neck, and continuous flowing curves - and translates them into a contemporary fragrance object through simplification and reconstruction. The original Bronze Gu carries a strong sense of ritual and visual weight. By refining its proportions and curve relationships, the design softens its monumentality, transforming an ancient ceremonial form into a more approachable object for everyday life.
The amber bottle body echoes the warm and transparent texture of natural plant essential oil. The dumb black top cover continues the neck feature of the bronze vase, forming a restrained and clear visual relationship between the upper and lower volumes. Therefore, the design of JúForm, a wild orange prescription, does not simply borrow the shape of a traditional utensils, but combines two traditional design languages into the same product: one is the shape of bronze vase utensils, and the other is the compatibility logic of "king, minister and minister. Let the form of ancient utensils, together with the order of traditional formulas, be transformed into a contemporary fragrance product.
The amber-toned body echoes the warm, translucent quality of natural essential oils, while the matte black capcontinues the visual language of the Gu's narrowed neck, creating a restrained relationship between the two volumes. Jú Form brings together two traditional design languages: the physical form of the Bronze Gu and the underlying order of the Jun-Chen-Zuo-Shi formulation. Ancient form, traditional order, contemporary object.
Designed for invisible fragrance.
In addition to the visual form, JúForm's design also revolves around how the aroma enters the space. The product is equipped with the atomization device independently developed by the brand, which releases the citrus aroma molecules evenly into the air. The design does not simply add the aroma to the space, but through a delicate and continuous atomization method, the natural citrus flavor gradually integrates into the environment and becomes a part of the space atmosphere. This idea also affects the mass and structural design of the product: hide the internal technology as much as possible in the simple appearance, let the technology be restrained, and let the aroma become the real perceived part.
Step back with technology and let the fragrance take center stage in the experience.
Designing for the Invisible
Beyond its visual form, Jú Form was designed around the way fragrance moves through a space. The product integrates a proprietary atomization system, developed by the brand to disperse citrus aromatic molecules evenly into the surrounding air. Rather than simply adding fragrance to a space, the system is designed to create a fine and consistent diffusion, allowing the natural citrus aroma to become part of the atmosphere. This approach also influenced the product's compact proportions and functional structure, keeping the technology visually restrained while allowing the scent to take the leading role.
The technology stays quiet.
The fragrance becomes the experience.
