What can Sato design for us with a pen and a big brain?
The first time I saw this Thin Black Lines Chair, did I feel my eyes cheated?
This is "Thin Black Lines Chair" designed by Sato Dawei's Phillips de Pury auction house 」. The whole chair is completely formed by bending black parallel straight lines. It looks like a sketch, which is formed by bending several wires in parallel. Slight black lines like the traces of sketches drawn in the air make transparent surfaces and volumes appear, which is a practical function specified in the design. After simplifying the complicated painting, the outline is still preserved. They are condensed expressions of meaning, similar to Japanese calligraphy. These designs cleverly break the relationship before and after, sometimes crossing the space between two and three dimensions. They are multi-faceted, constantly deformed, alternately moving between the formation and collapse of the form, showing a different visual effect.
See what you don't see, see what you see! Perhaps only after thinking can there be a sudden surprise! The charm of the design is particularly charming in Sato's body!
