The 2019 "CGD Contemporary Good Design" award ceremony was held in the concert hall of Xiamen International Convention Center on the evening of November 30. Professor Peter Zack, founder and chairman of the Red Dot Award organization, Mr. Lin Hongmei, vice president of Xiamen Radio and Television Group and chairman of Xiamen Media Group, Mr. Vito Oulazemu, vice president of the Red Dot Award organization, and Mr. Qiu Zhijian, chairman of the Red Dot Asia region, ms. Xu Huan, deputy general manager of Xiamen Wenguang Media Group and president of Red Dot Design China, Mr. Yang Shoubin, founder of Chunguangli Industrial Capital Group, president of China Angel Federation and founding partner of Rich Capital, Mr. Gordon Bruce, judge of Red Dot Award and president of Gordon Bruce Design Consulting Company of the United States, Mr. Vincent Créance, judge of Red Dot Award, member of French APCI and member of ENSCI Board of Directors, mr. Mario Selic, Red Dot Award judge and founder of German Selic industrial design, Dr. Huang Weizu, Red Dot Award judge, vice president of Hong Kong Institute of Design, Hong Kong Institute of Professional Education, Hong Kong, China, Mr. Sun Xinxi, Red Dot Award judge, chief content officer and editorial director of Home Corridor China, and Ms. Anne, founder of Anne shares, attended the award ceremony.

The ceremony was officially kicked off after the speech by Professor Peter Zack, founder and chairman of the Red Dot Award, and gathered with guests and winners from all over the world to announce the winning works of the 2019 "CGD Contemporary Good Design" award. The scope of the 2019 "CGD Contemporary Good Design" award has expanded to 49 categories. Many works with innovative performance, various quality functions, rich connotation, emotion and environmental protection concept stand out in this competition.

Suspense revealed
Winning works lead the latest global design trends

As the biggest suspense of the award ceremony, 2019 "CGD Contemporary Good Design" award winning works were announced that night. Of the 873 outstanding works successfully shortlisted this year, a total of 174 won awards, of which 160 won the winning award and 14 won the gold award. In addition, well-known brands that have won the "CGD Contemporary Good Design" award include BMW, Audi, Baidu, Lenovo, Dell, Tsingtao Beer, Midea, China Mobile, Xiamen Yingqu Technology, Migu, Cobos Robot, Lake Electric Co., Ltd., Siemens, HKUST Xunfei, TCL, Skyworth, 361, Oaks, Plus One, ABB, Good Boy, etc.

The Xiamen Little Egret Folk Dance Troupe was invited to the scene to perform. The Little Egret Folk Dance Troupe was established in 1993. It is the first professional folk dance art performance group in my country and a business card for Xiamen's foreign exchanges.

With the end of the award ceremony, the designer night of 2019 Xiamen International Design Week has gradually begun, dr. Peter Zack, Founder and Chairman of the German Red Dot Award Organization, Ms. Xu Huan, Deputy General Manager of Xiamen Wenguang Media Group and President of Red Dot Design China, Gordon Bruce, Mario Selic, Vincent Créance, Huang Weizu, Sun Xinxi, CGD Winners and other elites from the design industry from all over the world gathered at the Red Dot Design Museum to celebrate this glorious night together! Designers' Night not only provides designers with an opportunity to appreciate the latest award-winning works first, but also provides them with a platform to exchange and share experiences.
