Personally, I think it is-starting from the pain point, using design to solve practical problems, and achieving the best balance between appearance, function and experience.

After joining the new company, I had the honor to participate in the company's brand expansion and category expansion projects. For the first time, I also realized the success of a product from the perspective of the enterprise. It is not only related to design, but also determined by product definition, enterprise decision-making, market matching degree, technology realization, user value perception, marketing communication, operation service and other factors, The final presentation does not depend entirely on the designer himself. Realize that if you want to grow quickly to higher places, you can't just design from your own aesthetic perspective.

For me, a designer who is in the early stage of commercial landing transformation, my ability to co-ordinate the overall situation of products is still very weak, so I only took a smaller project last year to do detailed dismantling and re-disk. Frankly speaking, this set of products is not the mainstream category of my company, and there are still many shortcomings in its final presentation, and many areas need to be optimized and improved. However, as one of the projects I participated in the whole process from 0 to 1, it is of great significance and helped me learn a lot of product knowledge other than design, which is worth sorting out.

Design Description:
This is a function-oriented innovative silicone bookmark clip, which is based on the conventional bookmark clip to upgrade the appearance function in line with the company's brand tonality. In addition to continuing its basic functions of automatic positioning, clamping and anti-loss, innovative structures are also added to solve the pain points of using thick books and blocking text. The product is composed of transparent PC chip, outer silicone sleeve and inner metal clip. Simple style, mellow neutral, with gift attributes, suitable for the majority of reading groups to use and gift.

This is a function-oriented, innovative silicone bookmark clip that builds upon the standard bookmark design, featuring aesthetic and functional enhancements tailored to align with the company's brand identity. In addition to retaining the core functions of automatic positioning and secure, anti-loss clamping, it incorporates an innovative structural design to resolve common pain points-specifically, the inability to accommodate thick books and the issue of the bookmark obscuring text. The product consists of a transparent PC sheet, an outer silicone sleeve, and an inner me-tal clip. Characterized by a minimalist, rounded, and gender-neutral aesthetic, it possesses strong gift-giving appeal, making it an ideal accessory for a broad spectrum of readers as well as a perfect choice for gifting.

Before doing the second round of design optimization, it is also necessary to conduct a series of structural and functional tests on the product prototype and obtain functional and experience problem points, so as to facilitate the subsequent combination of modeling and these problem points and optimization together.

Finally, according to the optimization points, the modeling is broken one by one. At this point, the appearance of the final product that has been tested experimentally, supported by data results, and can be opened and landed has surfaced.

However, some problems that need to be improved were found in the late mold follow-up:

When the mold dust settles, there is only one link left before the product can actually be produced, that is, to finalize CMF that can improve the mold problem, improve the product texture, match the product positioning and meet the market demand.

At this point, the first complete project of my career has come to a perfect end, and this is only the beginning of my career as a qualified product person.
