Introduction: Based on design thinking, children's art courses that combine innovative consciousness and art education are a new development direction of children's education in my country. Under the background that the state encourages the development of enlightenment education of design thinking and innovative consciousness in primary and secondary schools, design thinking has become a new development direction of children's education in our country. At present, most of the offline children's art education curriculum models are similar, and the teaching models of educational institutions are relatively unified. Children are usually required to create works according to the professor's production logic. The lack of design thinking guidance has become a huge problem in current art courses.
As a part of aesthetic education, architectural enlightenment education helps to cultivate children's basic abilities such as observation, fine movement, language and visual communication skills, number concepts, space and time concepts, and then provide creative expression, cross-cultural learning, etc. The formation of core literacy lays the foundation. Through field research, it is found that at present, the local traditional aesthetic education curriculum of Huayao lacks the inspiration and cultivation of children's thinking mode, and the local children have a shallow understanding of the traditional architecture of Huayao.
Therefore, the research and design content of the subject is determined to be based on the existing architectural course teaching model, using the situational method as the theoretical basis to guide the design thinking education output design, and the traditional architecture of Huayao as the theme, facing the Huayao area 6-12-year-old children, design and produce interactive learning kit products with Huayao characteristics, supporting instructions, etc, the design thinking theory is combined with the simple knowledge of Hua Yao's traditional building structure, building space and building movement line, and the design task is obtained by extracting task cards and character cards, and the building block module is used for building design. The aim is to enable children in Huayao area to cultivate their design thinking skills such as finding and solving problems while understanding the local architectural structure and spatial characteristics.
