However, as a team that deeply cultivates "user scenario design", zero gravity has always firmly believed that the daily objects used at high frequency need to be designed "truer" most ".

The JINLAI metal toothbrush shared today is not only a product, but also an in-depth practice of "how to reconstruct daily experience with design"-through a three-fold design breakthrough, oral care can completely bid farewell to "make do" and let the outside world see our design core of "seeing the big from the small.

In the design of daily necessities, it is difficult to balance "practical" and "aesthetic", "environmental protection" and "experience. The design of JINLAI metal toothbrush is based on metal as a unique medium, which deeply integrates the aesthetic of art, the responsibility of environmental protection and the needs of practicality, giving a richer meaning and a more textured experience for the daily brushing of teeth.


Design starting point:
Before designing, we never think about "making a special product", but ask "what the user is enduring in use".

A: Every time you change your toothbrush, you have to hesitate to the trash can. "It's a waste to throw another one".
B: "I hope it can be used for a long time, don't always deform." "I don't want to feel guilty about wasting plastic".
C: "put it in the bathroom, don't be too abrupt".
D: plastic toothbrush handle with a long time will be sticky, in the bathroom humid environment is also easy to mold, affect the use of feeling and health.

It is these needs from the real scene that make us clear the direction: to make a toothbrush that is "durable, environmentally friendly, good-looking and easy to use"-this is not an innovation out of thin air, but an "accurate response" to the needs of users ".

Design landing: hide the temperature in every design detail

Clear requirements, the next step is how to use the design to achieve. We did not pursue "subversive modeling", but put our efforts into "details that users can perceive", so that every design has the temperature of "solving problems.

Traditional toothbrushes choose plastic, mostly for cost considerations, but ignore the user's demand for texture. We did the opposite and used aluminum alloy as the core material of the brush handle, which not only realized the "texture upgrade", but also solved many pain points of plastic materials. This is not a simple "metal instead of plastic", but a decision based on "users' demand for long-term companionship.

We finally selected aluminum alloy as the core material of the brush handle, with three layers of design thinking hidden behind it:

1. Solve the "hidden pain points":
The survey found that 87% of users complained that "plastic toothbrushes are deformed and yellowed soon after use", which is essentially dissatisfaction with "product life and durability of texture.

Therefore, the use of aluminum alloy super stability, and then through the surface anodic oxidation treatment, improve corrosion resistance, can make the brush handle in the bathroom wet environment for more than 5 years still maintain the surface texture, just respond to the "long-term company" demand;

2. Balance "quality and experience":
The brush handle is made of aluminum alloy die-casting as a whole. Many people are worried that the metal toothbrush is too heavy. Through many tests and optimization, we finally controlled the weight of the brush handle to about 40g-this weight has been blindly tested by 100 users of different hand types.

Although it is slightly more important than the plastic brush handle, it can bring "a more solid grip than plastic" and will not cause hand fatigue due to excessive weight, thus perfectly avoiding the misunderstanding of "metal material = bulky;

3. Transfer "design temperature":
In order to break the "cold feeling" of the metal, we have done a sandblasting "frosting treatment" on the surface of the aluminum alloy ".
Through texture, it can not only prevent slippage (friction force is increased by 60% after touching water), but also transmit "delicate and warm" texture when touching-this is exactly what we have always insisted on "material is not only a functional carrier, but also a medium for emotional connection".

1. Break through the aesthetic boundary: not only "good-looking", but also "easy to use, let the product into the life scene of the aesthetic system"

Human factors engineering is the core, making "grip" a natural instinct: for the user's pain point of "tired grip and easy to slide", we put human factors engineering through the whole process of brush handle design, from size, radian to grip area, each place has been measured by data and tested by real people:

Refer to the real hand data: lock the diameter of the brush handle at 1.8cm-this size can adapt to the holding circumference of more than 89% of adults, neither causing "weak grip" due to too fine, nor causing "palm pressure" due to too thick ";

Fit to the radian of the hand shape: design a "concave arc holding area" in the middle of the brush handle, and the radian fits the curve of the fingers when they bend naturally. When brushing teeth, the fingers can be "stuck" in the holding area without deliberate force, thus avoiding the hand swelling after brushing for a long time;

Anti-skid and weight balance: in addition to forming frosted anti-skid texture through processes such as sandblasting and oxidation, the center of gravity position is adjusted by adjusting the overall brush handle curve and increasing the weight at the end of the brush handle, so that the toothbrush is "light at the front end and stable at the rear end" when held in the hand, and the wrist does not need to exert additional force to adjust the angle when brushing teeth, which is more in line with the habit of human arm exertion.

Aesthetic creation is not only "good-looking", but also "integrated". Users say "don't want toothbrush to be too abrupt",
So our aesthetic design, not "make the toothbrush eye-catching", but "let the toothbrush into the bathroom"

1. The lines should be "invisible": the transition from brush head to brush handle is natural and rhythmic, with integrated streamline design and no extra protrusions. No matter whether the bathroom is simple or light luxury, it will not violate the rules;

2. The color should be "versatile": from 100 groups of bathroom environment colors, three low saturation colors of "moonlight silver", "champagne gold" and "light gray blue" are selected, which are not dazzling under the light and can create a sense of harmony with ceramic tiles and washstands;

3. The logo should be "lasting": instead of easy-to-drop silk screen printing, laser engraving should be used, with a depth of 0.1mm, it will not wear off after a long time, but will precipitate a unique texture with use.

Environmental protection design: not only for "carbon reduction", more "convenient" lines to "invisible"

Many people think that "environmental protection is a troublesome thing", so the core of our environmental protection design is "to let users practice environmental protection without deliberate":

"Environmental design" should not sacrifice the user experience, but through structural optimization to make environmental behavior more simple and natural. Through the form of buckle, users can complete the replacement of new brush heads by plugging and unplugging, while ensuring the stability during use.
