About the upper grid award
The Shangge Award Global Fashion Science and Technology Innovation Competition is under the guidance of the UNESCO "Creative City" (Shanghai) Promotion Office, China Textile Industry Federation, Shanghai Economic and Information Commission and Shanghai Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Leading Group Office, Sponsored by the Shanghai Fashion Capital Promotion Center, an international event hosted by the Organizing Committee of the Shangge Award Global Fashion Science and Technology Innovation Competition and Shangge Fashion Cultural Creativity (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

As the world's first event with the theme of technological innovation in the field of fashion life, the Shangge Award has established a platform for the display and development of creative works with a sense of fashion and technology, and at the same time built a platform for industry exchanges such as fashion, design and technology. The competition was launched in 2017, once a year, and has been successfully held twice. A total of 2006 works from 14 countries around the world have been collected.

Eligibility
The Shangge Award adopts a combination of targeted invitation and independent registration to solicit entries. Participants include companies, institutions, groups and individuals from all countries and regions around the world. The entries include two categories: conceptual design and product design:

Product Design: For products already on the market for sale, the time of listing shall not be earlier than August 31, 2017, and shall not be later than August 31, 2019.

Conceptual design: The work is in the design and function development stage at the time of submission and registration. Before the final, it can provide a design with complete actual functions and design effect samples.


Classification of upper grid award works

The upper grid award pays special attention to design works that integrate fashion, science and technology. All entries must embody the concept of combining fashion aesthetics with technological innovation. The categories of entries include but are not limited to: technology apparel, smart home, personal care, smart business, smart entertainment and other industries.
