However, I estimate that not everyone has the time or opportunity to watch and study in person. So today Agee will use photos to take you back to the mystery of this exhibition.

Speaking of artificial intelligence, everyone may think of the century duel between Google AI AlphaGo and Go masters Ke Jie and Li Shishi in the past two years (it was later questioned that there may be tacit understanding of chess and fake matches, but this is not what we care about today). At this time, there must be some friends to ask, you are an industrial designer, what are you doing to go to the AI conference? So have friends with this idea ever thought that artificial intelligence, AI programs, no matter how awesome in the virtual world, objectively always need a physical device to complete the docking with the real world. For example, robots, VR glasses, drones, robotic arms and so on are common in life.

So in my opinion, the vigorous development of the artificial intelligence industry has a huge driving effect on the entire industrial design field. As designers, we should remain alert and be ready to meet this great opportunity and challenge.
This conference was held at the Shanghai West Bank Art Museum. The sky was not beautiful on the day Agee went, and it rained from time to time. So if the location shooting effect is not good, you can only pass it in a hurry.
As a digression, although this common metal blind track in Shanghai has the advantages of easy cleaning and high strength and wear resistance, it is too slippery in rainy days. I almost fell twice along the way because I stepped on this blind road, not to mention being really blind.
The whole exhibition is actually divided into two parts. One is the summit forum (I need to be invited to attend). When I went there, it was all over. The other is an exhibition that can be seen by appointment in advance. Agee was lucky to get the quota at the reminder of his friends.
The exhibition was held in several exhibition halls transformed from gas tanks in the industrial zone of that year, including "AI finance", "AI logistics" and "AI application experience area. Of course, for our industrial designers, the most important thing is the "AI application experience area.

AI education
When it comes to AI products, the first picture people think of may be robots. Yes, robots are everywhere in this exhibition, of which intelligent educational robots account for the largest proportion.
What is an intelligent educational robot? Different from the previous educational robots with built-in fixed programs and databases, they can only operate in a established mode. After being implanted with AI chip, the robot has the ability of autonomous learning and judgment, and can adjust its teaching strategy according to the different knowledge, ability, age and habits of users. Each educational robot is tailor-made for users.

I believe the concept of mechanical exoskeleton is not unfamiliar to everyone. Traditional exoskeleton products can help or strengthen the user's mobility, strength, bounce, etc. by executing the user's pre-set program actions after wearing. Generally more used in military or medical fields.
After the AI smart chip is implanted, the exoskeleton will evolve a set of customized operating modes according to the user's individual strength, range of movement, and differences in habits, and continue to fine-tune and modify during use to better Adapt to the needs of different users.
Medical screening
I saw quite a lot of AI products on health at this exhibition. Mainly around the computer intelligent film reading, screening lesions and other functions. For example, a doctor was able to diagnose an average of 30 CT films per day. With the help of AI, the number can be increased to 100-200, which greatly improves the efficiency of diagnosis and saves the waiting time of patients.
Its basic principle is to let AI program see a large number of lesion negatives in advance, and gradually let AI learn to identify lesions by itself through repeated correction and confirmation by human beings. As AI sees more and more negatives, the amount of data it accumulates will gradually increase, and the recognition accuracy rate will rise sharply, eventually exceeding the speed and accuracy of human doctors.
It is said that this technology has been clinically applied to some fields to assist the attending doctors in diagnosing eye diseases, and has achieved quite good results.
VR AR combined with industrial manufacturing
Presumably everyone has heard about Boeing's massive layoffs. Moreover, the targets of their layoffs are all old masters who have worked on the assembly line for more than ten years or even decades. These people were considered to be irreplaceable by computer machinery in the past, because their work involved a lot of experience accumulation and on-the-spot judgment. However, with the development of artificial intelligence, the speed of robot accumulation experience and the accuracy of detail operation are far superior to that of human beings. Just teach robots to observe and learn themselves through AI programs. It will undergo qualitative change and growth within ten days to dozens of days, completely defeating humans in a certain field.

Unmanned vehicle
In the past few days, the Shanghai TV news has been reporting news about unmanned vehicles almost every day, which can be said to have raised Agee's appetite to the top. However, contrary to expectations, the on-site staff told me that I could only enter the park to experience driverless vehicles if I was specially invited. Agee, who did not give up at the moment, decided to get into the crowd at the right time, trying to muddle through. However, it was finally discovered by the staff with golden eyes (Assassin's Creed is a lie! T-T). However, I can only look out from a distance and take a few photos as a souvenir.
According to my observation, the park is divided into two areas, one is the unmanned vehicle display area and the other is the unmanned vehicle experience area. As the name implies, there are various types of driverless vehicles in the exhibition area for people to appreciate and study. What is more interesting is the experience area, where visitors can take driverless buses around the venue for a week in batches. Watch up close how AI controls vehicles to avoid obstacles and respond to various emergencies. This is of great help to people who want to better understand how AI programs work in cars.
UAV
UAV is obviously a big AI intelligent implant. National famous brands also appeared at this conference, bringing their various new models. Among them, what impressed me most was this fixed-wing and rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicle in Shunfeng. From the outside, the huge nose and streamlined outer arc resemble American X-47B.
Looking at the bottom of the plane, you can see that the nose is made like this because its storage space is hidden inside. Unlike traditional rotorcraft, this fixed-wing aircraft is often designed to adapt to farther and higher speed transportation. Therefore, no protrusions on the outer surface of the aircraft can affect the overall aerodynamic shape.
