As a designer, I am trapped in the cage of minimalism. My workbench is filled with minimalist sound material: cylinders, spheres, cubes... perfect, but boring. Every time I try, I end up in a cold box. I racked my brains and got nothing.
-It was a rainy evening, and a touch of neon color broke into view-the rotating lamppost at the entrance of the hair salon. The spiral of red, white and blue, spinning magically, brought vitality to the whole street. 'Move it, 'I thought: Maybe I can put this spinning neon color into the stereo. I quickly conceived the solution: add a rotating light bar like a hair salon lamp to a simple sound. It spins, it glows, it's really unique, but I always feel like it lacks something 'live.
---- Until one day, when watching the video, I was shocked by a picture: the young man was holding a stereo in his hand, and his body swayed wildly with the music. That's every pore echoing the rhythm, that's his body's DNA being awakened! I understood what was missing-it was 'vibe '. It should not just be 'twiring', it should be 'breathing '.
---- So, I thought of the code of life-DNA double helix. The DNA structure itself contains the cycle of rotation and life. I found the answer.
I use the DNA double helix as the main shape. The neon color rotation property of the hair salon is no longer a light bar, but the spiral structure of the whole sound. When the music plays, the entire DNA spiral rotates elegantly, and the neon stripes in the style of hair salon lights move along the spiral. It is no longer an object, but a living being that can 'dance', a genetic code of life that resonates with the DNA in your body.
Perhaps, in its static state, it is a perfect work of art.
While rotating, the light can constantly change color, can also appear gradient effect.
I tried to incorporate the elements of this DNA double helix into the floor frame and found such a match.
The double spiral floor lamp is also quite good.
Even the faucet can use this element.
