We can find often octagonal objects in everyday life in Korea. But they are mostly still stuck in traditional form. I designed 22081 by modernizing this traditional shape. By composing the main body by connecting each corners of three horizontally placed octagons with straight and oblique lines, and placing a cushion on it, a stool with simple, modern image is made. And this form creates an image of a tower. It also can be used as a table by replacing cushion with an octagonal plate on the body. In this case, the cushion can be separated into two pieces and used as a sitting mat, which is a design considering the sedentary lifestyle of Korea.
