Personally, I like the design that can expose the internal structure of the product. Sometimes the internal accessories with reasonable arrangement can also achieve excellent modeling effect. So when I noticed that products based on topology optimization can also achieve interesting style features, I began to think about the application of topology optimization in product modeling.
Topology optimization is originally an engineering technology. Through the most basic action body of the architecture, the material distribution is optimized within the given load conditions, constraints and performance indicators on the body. At present, the most widely used is the application in the direction of product lightweight.
In the early research on 3D printing, I studied how to combine additive manufacturing technology and topology optimization to create lighter and more reasonable components for products. The early research mainly achieved the goal through inspire. Later, I found that Ameba had developed similar plug-ins for grasshopper. I began to think about combining topology optimization technology with product modeling. In this way, will it make the internal structure of the product more explicit? This is one of my attempts. Perhaps his optimization does not look so good, but it is interesting enough. I hope I can provide some ideas for friends who have similar ideas. Welcome to communicate with me.

Black technology
This big hole is really awkward.
A look is 3d printing
Good work!
It's pretty cool!
