At present, the mechanization level of potato production in China is mainly concentrated in two significant aspects. First, there is a significant imbalance between planting areas. The northern region, especially the one-season planting area, has laid a solid foundation for industrialization and formed a more standardized mechanized planting model, and its comprehensive mechanization rate of farming and harvesting is close to 60%. This area mainly relies on traditional manual operations, which is mainly due to the fine fragmentation of the plot, the high proportion of planting area in high mountains and steep slopes, resulting in poor mechanized operating conditions. At the same time, small machinery and equipment suitable for southern operations are relatively scarce, and the operating efficiency is generally low. In addition, the lack of socialized production services and mechanical maintenance services has further restricted the improvement of the level of mechanization. Aiming at the problem of low intelligent artificial degree of the existing potato harvester, the multi-functional integration, harvesting, automatic variety classification and packaging combined with product structure design, ergonomics, design aesthetics and other professional contents are designed to carry out the improved design of multi-functional potato harvester, realizing the functions of improving production efficiency and reducing labor cost, bringing better benefits for potato harvesting and packaging, and realizing an efficient, automatic and integrated harvesting process, accelerate the development of potato harvesting agricultural machinery industry.
