Open space is the fuzzy area of home and work space, and it is the interval of city extension and contraction, and the segment of call and suction. Urban people use open space to adjust their lives; a city needs to use open space as a source of creative inspiration and become a base for solutions. However, Taipei citizens have an average of only 5.32m2 of open space, which is far behind most creative cities. Therefore, we propose a solution-ParkUp. ParkUp is a brand that focuses on the reconstruction of urban space. Based on three principles (focusing on planning small idle spaces; planning according to inclusive design; design is based on localization), the idle spaces in the city that no longer exist are reactivated as timely and suitable open spaces. In addition, a set of space design tools: ParkUp Tools has been developed to conduct a series of space experiments with the characteristics of modularization, customized, simple assembly and material sustainability. Reflect on the role of various spaces in the city, and give the city more possibilities to explore inspiration and practice creativity. ParkUp has so far completed the reconstruction of 3 open spaces. ParkUp GT is an open space for a community and has built 9 white horizontal bars. It not only meets the needs of elderly residents for fitness and drying, but also can be equipped with various accessories to attract young people to visit and promote communication between the community and the community. ParkUp DT reflects on the contemporary game space, using wooden pillars, steel pipes and woven nets to create an inclusive game field. The elderly can rely on the steel pipes to stretch, and the children shuttle between the wooden pillars to hide, thus activating the neighboring old community. ParkUp SYC is a living field that can feel the design at any time. It forms a variety of configurations with a movable wooden platform to meet the different use needs of the base: rest, market, performance, etc., both dynamic and static. When a city can make good use of this kind of idle space, bring creativity into play, break through restrictions and imagination, the city can progress and become a livable and inclusive resilient city. ParkUp responds to the sustainable development of the city with creativity.
