The 20-year graduation work was turned over by chance today, so I will review it again.
At the beginning, I followed my tutor to do the Mengyuan cultural creation class in Inner Mongolia. Later, it was a coincidence. It was better to try a campus cultural creation class. The cost was small, the target group was clear, and there was no need for a large store. The investment was not high. For us who were still students, it was just right. But the ideal is very beautiful, the reality is very skinny, the project finally stopped at production but did not start the sales stage.
Many years have passed, let's sum up our shortcomings.
1. Inexperience
First of all, I don't know how the school works. This is the most fatal problem, because if we can't find the relevant person in charge, we can't fix the copyright of the school, which means that our products can't be sold. Although I tried to participate in the school's big creation competition, it was a pity.
Another aspect is whether the school and students can empathy for the school, how big the market is, whether it can be linked to the school, whether it is the image of the school, etc., have not been resolved.
2. Design and planning
In terms of products alone, the grasp of demand is lacking. For example, the products developed for graduates do not meet the real needs of graduates. What they need should be something that can be commemorated and carried conveniently. The specific usage scenario should be taken in the school and then placed somewhere at home. But my design direction is biased.
The second is that there are too many product designs and every product is not surprising enough. If I go back now, I may take the time to design only one, a really meaningful product. This is also a strategic mistake in the product.
The third is the design level. My design level is still in a very poor situation, and I am not very good at handling details. I think every school has some exclusive things, or every school has a different temperament, and campus cultural creation should show this temperament. Looking for characteristics among the commonalities of many universities, the temperament of the school may be in the school motto, but it is reflected in the products. We did not find a good carrier at that time, and we were afraid that the inheritance of this kind of spirit could not be well conveyed. After all, there are a thousand Hamlet in the eyes of a thousand readers. So at that time, simple graphics were used in products, such as school badges, school names, well-known buildings, etc.
3. Other reasons
First, in the epidemic, I graduated in a daze, and spent the second half of my senior year at home. The second is the team. Every member of the team is excellent, especially the person in charge after I left, who is also the output of the key chain that he finally promoted, and has re-customized the direction of campus cultural creation, but he is also going to graduate. So, one is efficiency, the front line is too long, and the second is that there is no clear goal, everyone is very confused, there is no cohesion.
Finally, when I recall the time, I probably thought of these. There are still some problems that I didn't realize. If I do it now, I think the possibility of success is still very small. But I believe that I am still growing and making progress. One day, my dream will come true.
