Looking at foreign countries, traditional construction machinery giants have also entered the field of aerial work platforms in the last century. Whether Sany Group can successfully enter this relatively fixed field at this time, in addition to Sany Group's reputation in the field of construction machinery, More depends on whether the latest products can open the market. The design task of Sany Group requires designers to conduct sufficient research and analysis on the existing competing products of the aerial work platform, summarize the future design trend of the aerial work platform, and under this trend, design for Sany Group New products with Sany characteristics that meet the design standards of Sany Group.

This design cycle lasts for four months. In the early stage, the students visited the leaser of the aerial work platform on the spot, conducted on-the-spot inspections of the products of many companies, and fully understood the mechanical structure, design points and design requirements of the product. Then, in order to comprehensively summarize the design trend of the aerial work platform, the students completed the product research of 14 companies, and the extraction and analysis of the modeling semantics of these products, through the horizontal comparison of the common and differences of the products of various enterprises, the students concluded that "the shape of the curved arm aerial work platform should be modern and round The view that", this view has also been recognized by the engineer team of Sany Group.

In the subsequent design, the students fully considered the product design trend of Sany. In the round and modern feeling, it fits the trend of Sany's "from hard to soft". After five rounds of sketches and grass mold design iterations, The concept and modeling direction of "crane" were finalized in 18 design images, and then the design details were continuously improved in the communication with the engineer team, on the premise of fully considering the details of the project, the design was improved.
