Product Description: Illan is a suspended lamp, derived from in-depth research on laser cutting materials and methods. The lampshade is made of lightweight and thin plywood with a thickness of 1 to 2.5mm, using innovative laser cutting technology. A simple concentric cut pattern transforms the wood into a sculptural three-dimensional object that only has form and volume when installed. Suspended in the air, the unique shape gives it flexible and translucent characteristics. As the material reacts to the tiniest air currents, it begins to vibrate in delicate waves. The interaction with the warm LED lights emphasizes the atmosphere and environmental effect of Eran, because the light emitted is continuously diffused by the elongated vibrating wooden strips, and the effect is constantly changing. In addition to this attractive effect, the project also achieves an ecologically responsible approach, which is reflected in the use of sustainably grown wood and LED light sources. In addition, the number of components has been reduced to a minimum, and all parts can be easily separated for proper disposal. The luminaire is easily transportable and presents a flat and non-deployable form.
