Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, located in the southwest of Sichuan Province, is the largest Yi inhabited area in China. The overall medical resources in this area are insufficient. In the process of first aid and transfer, patients often need several hours to reach the hospital, often because the initial treatment is not timely and not in place, which delays the recovery hope of patients. On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2018, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Liangshan in person and called on the whole province to help Liangshan win the battle against poverty. In this context, TOALL Convex and Concave Design and the SaaS platform in the field of pre-hospital first aid in Sichuan Province have worked together to develop this medical first aid system from 0 to 1 to help share information inside and outside the hospital and improve the emergency management system of emergency first aid in Liangzhou.
Convex and concave design dismantled the working mode and pain points of each role, and determined the three-terminal information architecture based on this, and formulated the strategy of this round of design: on the basis of optimizing the global experience, the modules that need the most efficiency in the whole process-the monitoring perspective of the TV side and the drug order input of the flat side-were optimized.
Computer side-effective travel information display: the convex-concave design positions the large screen as an "information center", as an information transfer system, giving priority to ease of use and saving costs for later training. Make full use of the advantage of large screen, and design the dispatch form and the idle situation of the driver into a folding panel, which can be flexibly expanded and folded without blocking the map. In the ambulance details page, patient information and instrument information are spread out and displayed, simplifying operation and information level, helping medical staff to focus on rescue and efficient communication to the greatest extent, and avoiding frequent operation of large screens in the rescue process.
Tablet end-efficient drug order entry: the convex-concave team found that in the rescue scene, in order to resist the bump of the vehicle, the doctor would usually hold the lower right of the tablet with the tiger's mouth of both hands and click on the screen with his thumb. According to Fitz's law, the thumb needs to move the least distance for the areas near the left, right and down, and the buttons in these areas are also the easiest to be pointed. Combined with the results of the task priority survey, the convex and concave "drug order" interface focused on the most convenient area.
Mobile phone end-the auxiliary part of the complete interaction system: while thinking about large screen interaction, convex and concave also consider other ports. Since each ambulance is equipped with only one tablet, the doctors and nurses who follow the car will use mobile phones to assist in the operation, and the remote support experts also use mobile phones to operate the system. Therefore, the convex-concave design integrates the core process of the on-board tablet system into the app on the mobile phone side. In addition, it also adds interactive functions such as daily check-in that drivers, doctors and nurses need to use. In the design, more consideration is given to the convenience and clarity of the small screen usage scenario. Convex and concave in the design of the mobile phone end, the continuation of the large screen and car end efficient and convenient design goals, the final output of a full set of interactive documents.
In terms of visual design, the convex-concave design hopes to efficiently convey information while highlighting the visual characteristics and style differences of this system to create a rational, technological, and cool image. The "starry sky" is used as the key word on the large screen of the TV, and the soft blue-gray is used as the main color to reflect the deep texture of the starry sky. At the same time, the location and route of the ambulance are shown with the aurora green height, and the whole picture is clear at a glance. The tablet side and the mobile phone side adopt a bright light color style, with "day" as the key word "and sky blue as the main color, which is more in line with the daily use scene. We have built a complete set of medical emergency system including pre-hospital emergency screen, ambulance car tablet and mobile phone App, which can help medical staff improve communication efficiency and simplify consultation process to save more patients' lives.
After several months of design and development, this set of pre-hospital emergency system products has been promoted and used in hospitals at all levels in Liangshan Prefecture, and has obtained good social response. In this project, the convex and concave continue the design principle of "people-oriented", adhere to the needs of real users as the starting point, build a set of practical systems implemented in every detail of use, promote industrial upgrading with design innovation, and continue to contribute to the progress of China's medical industry.
