Chinese traditional culture has accumulated precious wealth for thousands of years and is a precious source of innovative design of modern products. Reducer is an important basic component in industrial machinery and equipment, but the domestic reducer has been stuck in the level of imitation and inheritance, lack of high-end brands. This is a new WPA worm gear reducer designed based on the shape characteristics of "Transformers.
This product was made in 2017. When I first made this reducer, I was really confused. I really didn't know how to start with such a complicated and abstract thing. Then I looked for it on the Internet. I found many tool types of products and other tough styles. Finally, I decided to make a bionic type of product.

I decided to find some tough elements to run through the whole product. At the beginning, I found many armor warriors, train men, Hummer and so on. I felt that I could not match this product. Maybe my ability to summarize and shape has not reached the level. Finally, I accidentally saw this picture of Transformers and slowly drew a picture on the paper.

In terms of innovation, the pattern treatment on the surface of the box body and the gradual elimination of reinforcing ribs on both sides increase the heat dissipation area and effectively solve the problem that the traditional turbine reducer overloads and overheats the machine in order to improve work efficiency: the hexagonal flange It can be well fastened on the surface of the box, and it is also a good way to avoid easy leakage due to excessive temperature and thinning of the oil inside the box; the overall square shape, it not only changes the appearance and form of the product, but also increases the sense of strength and speed of the product, making the product more stable.
When the product color is used in combination, industrial black and green are adopted, and the overall style and color matching are unified. Not only can the power and speed of the product form be well explained, but also the reducer can be given new life from the product semantics,
The core technology of this product is to redesign the disadvantages of the traditional WPA worm gear reducer, integrate it with the "Transformers" modeling features, and jointly cast a brand-new reducer.

On the basis of studying the aesthetic characteristics, expression methods and category division of ancient Chinese traditional culture, this project design analyzes the morphological characteristics and expression forms of reducer modeling at home and abroad, explores the creative method factors of Chinese traditional culture, puts forward the concept of integrating Chinese traditional cultural elements into reducer modeling design, and establishes the integration method of Chinese traditional culture and reducer modeling design based on the functional characteristics of reducer. On the basis of extensive collection of modeling feature data about industrial machinery products, combined with the visual expression of modeling language shape media, the language feature model of "point, line and surface" of reducer products is constructed. This paper discusses the fusion method of traditional Chinese cultural elements in the shape of the reducer in line with modern aesthetics, and makes a more comprehensive study of the design fit between the two, through the visual decomposition of traditional Chinese cultural elements and the graphical decomposition of the characteristic language of the reducer, forming a new traditional cultural intersection point figure that matches the appearance of the reducer; the design orientation of "creating momentum", "creating meaning" and "creating beauty" through design techniques such as symmetry, balance and rhythm is put forward, and the modeling design method of reducer based on Chinese traditional cultural elements is obtained.
