This product has been successfully listed, so I sorted it out and shared it. It is also the first product to successfully land after graduation. I am very glad that the company can give itself the opportunity to calibrate the process and function from project initiation to design to review to stay in Shenzhen for more than half a year. It has participated in and followed up the whole life cycle of the product. For a design rookie like me, this process is very long but also very valuable.
The goal of this project is to upgrade the company's existing toothbrush products. Due to the limitation of internal structure and skeleton, the overall shape of the product and the layout of key indicator lights cannot be greatly changed, and the design is carried out on the basis of the existing movement. On the exterior, a single fading line is designed on the front side of the fuselage, which will add some softness and elegance compared to the company's previous products. The key part, as the area for inputting user instructions, is the most direct and frequent part for communicating with users except the brush head, so the key area is used as the entry point for differentiated design. The two keys are creatively embedded together to form an abstract jewelry pendant. The slightly convex curved surface shape of the key surface is slightly adjusted by the curvature and rounded corners of the edge position, and the electroplating process is matched to make it the most symbolic area of the whole product. The vibration mode icon uses the radial shape of the water hitting the surface of the object to simulate the calibration of the five vibration modes, showing the property of electric toothbrush cleaning. The surface technology has added gradual pearlescent oil treatment and adjusted dozens of swatches in order to find the feeling of luxury but not greasy. In terms of product function, the battery cell has been upgraded from 2000mAh to 2900mAh, and the battery life can reach half a year or more. On the basis of the original five vibration modes, the vibration intensity adjustment of each vibration mode is added. Users can adjust the most suitable intensity by pressing the mode key for a long time, so as to avoid the embarrassing scene that the first gear is too strong and the first gear is too weak during the user's use. In addition, a travel lock mode has been added, which can be turned on after long pressing the power button to avoid the self-starting of the machine caused by accidental touch of luggage during travel storage. The newly added startup function gradually increases the bristle amplitude within 4s after startup to avoid splashing of squeezed toothpaste.
