"Looking Back on Past ID Design Works" 2 is here. It has been 4 months since the last sorting out, and there are only 56 days left in 2021, eh! Maybe the next arrangement will be 2022. As to why there is such a theme? One is to serve as a review of past design works; the other is to let Pushing organize a portfolio by himself. Grab the 2021's big tail and rush!!!!
Project introduction:
Start-up time: at the end of February 2019, it is now listed (the time of listing is unknown)
Project requirements: redefined products (Lao Luo can't sit still) and good man-machine experience
Appearance style: simple, cartoon, cute, affinity,
Function definition: electric nasal suction device for infants and young children with display and music functions and traditional double replaceable batteries
When I left my old employer, there were still some structural problems, so according to the listed products, the final stacking and ID were modified and adjusted.
In the sketch stage, we conducted an analysis of some competing products in the market and found that the heads of all electric nasal aspirators in the market were inclined at a certain angle, so at first most sketches followed the basic form of inclined angle. After the first round of sketches came out, they were put out for discussion and talked in a flat way. Compared with the competitors in the market, they had no characteristics and no bright spots at all, so they redefined a loneliness.
In the second round of sketches, I thought, why are the basic heads of the competitors tilted at an angle? Can it be designed to be straight? How about the use experience of straight body? When discussing the sketch again, the concise and capable straight body design obviously jumped out of many sketches. Later, we also simulated the scene of angle tilt and straight body use, and concluded that the use of angle tilt with angle is limited and not flexible enough. The straight body has no specific angle restriction and is more flexible to use.

Final resumption summary:
1. When you get the design requirements, you can first understand the competition in the market and ask the design of the competition, why is it designed like this? What is the purpose of this design? Is there a better form of structure? Multiple rhetorical questions may make you produce different IDs.
2. It is mainly affected by the size of the battery and the motor. The size of the appearance of the hand board is somewhat large. It is possible that customers are also prone to fall into a cost trap due to cost control reasons, resulting in a good design failing in the control of the early stacking. Therefore, our ID design should not only draw a good-looking ID, understand the cost control of materials and processes, but also cultivate our own comprehensive professional knowledge from product definition and stack definition, and guide customers how to design good products with high cost performance through our own professional and understanding of products. Grow together with customers.
Although our designers often fail to communicate directly with customers because it is Party B's design company, we can find leaders or bosses to communicate directly. I have not done enough in this respect. I hope I will try my best to move in this direction.
If there are any deficiencies above, I hope you can leave a message to supplement and exchange learning together ~
Finally, shout for yourself and the design students who insisted on all the way on the general elephant! Persistence will win, but there will definitely be gains. Come on!!
