Jade Shadow Landscape
Shadow celadon originated in the Song Dynasty, is a typical representative of the blue and white porcelain. Its unique glaze color is between blue and white, white in pan-green, green in white, like ice like jade, warm and delicate texture. The formation of this glaze color benefited from the precise control of porcelain raw materials and firing process by kiln workers in the Song Dynasty. In terms of raw materials, porcelain clay rich in trace elements such as iron and titanium is selected. During the firing process of reducing flame, the iron element in the glaze is reduced, thus showing a unique cyan tone. The glaze of shadow celadon is clear and transparent, and the glaze layer is thin, but it can form a uniform and shiny luster on the surface of porcelain, which makes it have extremely high aesthetic value and is known as "fake jade.
