CHALLENGE
From Natural Waste to Light Feast

The challenge in designing Terra was to show the natural, irregular beauty of biowaste while maintaining a minimalist structure for each lamp and making it easy and efficient to assemble and package. We thought deeply about how to seamlessly connect the lampshade to the lamp body, while making them beautiful and easy to transport, ensuring the perfect balance between elegance in design and sustainability in packaging.

The key challenge was to design a lamp that not only celebrates the natural irregularities of biowaste materials but also assembles easily and packs efficiently. We worked to ensure the shade and body fit seamlessly together while keeping the design minimal, beautiful, and practical for shipping and storage.

PACKAGING
Nature's Touch in Every Detail

Terra combines natural texture with modern design through biological waste such as coffee grounds, rice husks and wheat bran, preserving the original natural texture of the material. Its modular design allows the lampshade to be reversely embedded in the lamp body, reducing packaging volume and improving transportation efficiency. Each package uses 100 percent recycled paper, and customers can judge the biological raw materials of the lamps in the package by the color of the recycled paper. The shape of each lamp is inspired by the organic curves of nature. Each lamp is simple and powerful. The soft curve and two-part structure make it modern and elegant with the timeless elegance of Nordic design.

Made from biowaste materials like coffee grounds, rice husks, and wheat bran, Terra preserves the natural textures of its raw materials. Its modular design allows the shade to nest inside the body, reducing packaging size and transport impact. Inspired by organic forms in nature, its soft curves and simple two-part construction balance sustainable innovation with timeless Nordic elegance.
