AIMS is an internal design research project initiated by NOI Creative to explore the possibilities of AI technology in future mobility scenarios. With the continuous change of mobile mode, people's travel is no longer limited to cars, but covers cycling, scooters and urban commuting and other forms. AIMS was born in this context. AIMS is not only a driving recorder, but also a modular intelligent travel partner. With the detachable AI smart screen, it is no longer just a device fixed in the car, but can freely extend with the user's movement. Whether driving, cycling or urban commuting, AIMS can naturally adapt to different travel scenarios, bringing clearer vision, more reliable safety, and more peace of mind for every journey.

Our goal is to break through the definition of the traditional driving recorder and create a product that truly integrates modern and diversified travel methods. AIMS is no longer limited to the car, but can follow the user's movement to extend to more scenes. Through the combination of advanced imaging technology and modular design, we envision a safer, smarter and more connected mobility experience. Whether it's driving long distances on the highway or commuting between city streets, AIMS can be your intelligent assistant at all times.

Our goal was to go beyond the traditional dash cam and create a product that fits into the diverse rhythms of modern life. AIMS is not confined to the car, it follows you everywhere. By combining advanced imaging with modular design, we envisioned a product that makes mobility safer, smarter, and more connected, whether you're navigating highways or weaving through city streets.

Modular, Intelligent, All-round Guardian/Modular, Intelligent, and Protective

The AIMS driving recorder is a modular system driven by a AI. The detachable core screen allows it to freely switch between cars, bicycles, scooters and urban commuting scenes. AIMS is equipped with 4K front and rear two-way imaging system, which still maintains clear picture quality in low light environment and presents rich light and dark details through HDR technology. At the same time, the in-car camera can record the situation in the compartment, which is suitable for online car drivers, family use or safety monitoring. Combined with emergency buffer video recording, AI motion detection and five modes of ADAS driver assistance system, AIMS not only records the road, but also actively guards every journey.

AIMS Dashcam is a modular, AI-powered companion with a detachable screen that adapts to cars, bikes, scooters, and city commutes. It delivers 4K dual front-rear imaging with superior low-light performance and HDR clarity, plus an in-cabin camera for ridesharing, family use, or added security. With Emergency Buffer Recording, AI motion detection, and a 5-mode ADAS system, AIMS doesn't just capture the road, it actively protects every journey.

HMI DESIGN
Dialogue, not instruction/A Conversation, Not a Command.

At the heart of the AIMS experience is a natural, effortless way of human-computer interaction. Through AI technology, AIMS communicates with the driver primarily through voice and conversational interaction, allowing users to easily complete operations while remaining focused on driving. The dynamic UI interface in low polygon style gives the product a unique personality. The subtle and expressive dynamic feedback makes the interface no longer just a display of information, but more like an interactive character with a sense of presence. Technology is therefore no longer cold, but an intelligent partner that can understand, accompany and support the driver.

Aims is designed around a new kind of human-machine interaction that feels natural, calm, and human. Powered by AI, it communicates primarily through voice and conversation, allowing drivers to stay focused on the road while interacting effortlessly, as if speaking to a trusted companion. The low-digit, expressive UI brings Aims to life with subtle, playful motions that adapt to different use cases, giving it a distinct character rather than a static interface. This dynamic presence transforms technology into personality, creating an emotional connection that reassures, guides, and supports the driver without ever demanding attention.

CHALLENGE
Finding a balance between modularity and reliability/Engineering Modularity Without Compromise

In designing AIMS, we need to address two core challenges. First, how to strike a balance between the detachable structure and the overall experience, so that the modular design will not affect the integrated experience of the product. The second is to ensure that the system can maintain the same stability and reliability in different travel scenarios. The final solution needs to be lightweight, portable, robust, and intuitive to operate, allowing users to switch between different vehicles smoothly and naturally.

Designing AIMS required solving two complex challenges: making the screen detachable while maintaining seamless integration, and ensuring the same level of reliability across different mobility contexts. The solution had to feel effortless for the user, lightweight enough to carry, robust enough to withstand diverse environments, and intuitive enough to switch between vehicles without friction.

AIMS rethinks the role of dash cams in the future of mobility. Through the combination of advanced imaging technology and AI modular design, it has changed from a passive recording device to an active and guarded intelligent co-pilot. AIMS can freely extend with users between cars, bicycles, scooters and more travel scenarios. It not only records roads, but also establishes a new concept for modern travel. An intelligent way to move that combines security, trust and freedom.
