There was a time when a lot of attention was paid to aromatherapy. However, after a round of experience for various electronic aromatherapy products, it is basically a process from entry to abandonment. From the perspective of personal use, the best experience is still "rattan aromatherapy". Simple and direct, just like chopsticks or benches, can't give you more, but there is no big disadvantage.

There are three types of electronic aromatherapy I have used:

The first type is heating aromatherapy. I only have a slight contact with this piece, and I feel more inclined to Chinese incense. A small electric ceramic stove is heated to 200 or 300 degrees. The container on the heating plate can contain various spices and incense powder. It is usually more suitable for sandalwood or wood incense. If you prefer Chinese aromatherapy, you don't even need to look at other aromatherapy products. The smell effect is very good, but the range of smell can be diffused is not large, more suitable for narrow space or table use. The heating method is not suitable for all smells, and many spices will be destroyed by high temperature.

The second category is the ultrasonic atomization aromatherapy machine, this kind of product is basically the replacement of the product material humidifier, the common injection molding material ABS will be corroded by essential oil, and PP does not have this problem. So in addition to the different materials, ultrasonic atomization aromatherapy machine and humidifier is basically the same kind of products.

However, under normal circumstances, there is no way to directly atomize pure essential oils with ultrasonic atomizers. It is necessary to drop the essential oil in the water in the container and bring out the essential oil with the atomization of the water. There is a problem here-aromatherapy must be accompanied by humidification. Imagine doing this in southern China, and the house will be very spectacular.

In addition, essential oils are usually less dense than water, and the oil will naturally float on the surface of the water. The use of ultrasonic atomizer usually tastes stronger at the beginning, and then the taste will become weaker and weaker. I have to open the lid many times to add essential oil during my personal use to ensure a continuous smell.

The last is cleaning. I am a person who has to do psychological construction after washing dishes. I forgot to clean the aromatherapy machine several times after using it. After the remaining liquid was stored for several days, it has become a paradise for microorganisms.

The last category is the two-fluid atomizing aromatherapy machine, which may be the best aromatherapy machine at present. Using the Venturi effect, the essential oil is directly atomized and sprayed with air (the principle is simply understood as that a person contains water in the mouth and then vigorously sprays water mist). Basically, most commercial aromatherapy machines are two-fluid atomized aromatherapy machines. This kind of aromatherapy machine can directly atomize pure essential oil, there is no mandatory accompanying humidification problem. And according to the literature, because of the high-speed gas flow, the atomized particles are smaller and can float in the air for a longer time.

The atomization effect of this kind of products is good, but it is also really troublesome to manage. First of all, its atomization is driven by an air pump, and the specific noise of the air pump can refer to the eye massager. Of course, how to reduce the noise of the products on the market, or whether to reduce the noise, each family has its own practice. Secondly, from the liquid chamber to the atomization chamber to the spray port is an open channel. Many aromatherapy machines have been made very small, like a thermos cup. However, if you dare to lay him flat or upside down, the aromatherapy essential oil will call you a human being every minute. I know a friend who uses a car-mounted aromatherapy machine. After one spill, all the central control keys were killed, and a whole row of keys were printed. From then on, the car-machine interaction can only be operated by memory trial and error. Finally, after each change of new flavor, the smell of the previous essential oil in the atomization chamber will be mixed with the new flavor, which may be a kind of torture for some people who are very sensitive to smell.

The design of the aromatherapy machine is based on the principle of two fluid atomization.

As a smoker for many years, we take the product iteration of electronic cigarette as a reference.

My personal body feeling is based on the 19 years of 2018. Before that, people who used electronic cigarette products were more likely to use the kind of oil-filled electronic cigarette. The size of the product was similar to half a brick, and the amount of smoke was extremely large. Having three people smoking at the same time in front of you will give you the illusion of returning to the Hong Kong film era in the 1980 s, as if everyone is holding a cell phone in their hands. And from time to time there was a sound of shouting at the oil spill.

However, since 18,19, some people have already started to use a product that can replace the type of smoke bomb (the actual birth time of the product has not been investigated). The atomizing core and the smoke oil are sealed in the same "smoke bomb", which is simply replaced and discarded after use. Although the problem of oil leakage is still not completely solved, the overall experience is indeed much better than the previous oil-filled products, so that now almost only such products can be seen.

At this point, it is already obvious that aromatherapy products and electronic cigarette products can almost be directly copied in terms of product form and consumer experience optimization, except for different use scenarios and different atomization technologies. There are also capsule coffee machines that have similar development. I think people who have used capsule coffee machines will know how great the invention of this thing is without my too much explanation.

This design would be silly if it were called "fragrance diffuser". It would be better to call it "capsule diffuser.

In fact, in my opinion, aromatherapy is a means to deal with the relationship between people and space. Space itself only exists. Whether a room is used as a bedroom or a study is the projection of people and the result of people's relationship with space. And the smell is the same, people want to give the space what kind of atmosphere, want the space to project or comfortable, or lively, or quiet, or festive reflection, so what kind of smell is used.

In this way, the product becomes a container, it should not be too strong, should not emphasize the product itself. In order to return to the attributes of the container, I refer to many container shapes in the pottery era, and finally cut into the shapes of pots and urns to design the main body and capsules of the aroma diffuser.

The "qi", "breath", "light" and "surplus" of seal script are used to indicate the aromatherapy intensity, timing, light effect and surplus of the product. The aromatherapy intensity and timing can be touched by sliding touch. However, please don't delve into why seal script is used. When designing, I didn't find myself a little abrupt until I started to study in the study. It is really difficult to find out a context in a short time for ancient Chinese fonts. In the end, I decided to be superficial and basically chose according to my preference for font modeling.

In addition, what touched me was a sentence I saw when I was looking up the data: "the seal script, pass on its physics, and its application is endless."

PS: Selling consumables is an advantage from a commercial point of view, but it is a disadvantage from an environmental point of view. This is a problem.
