Postmodernism, as a reflection on modernism, is still leading today, adhering to respect for individuality, emphasizing the spirit of individual democracy and freedom and even the mainstream values today. Benefiting from the awakening of individual consciousness in the Enlightenment era, industrial technology and the concept of relying on industrial technology developed explosively in that era, and reinforced concrete was mass-produced and applied to urbanization in that era. Reinforced concrete and exposed structures are integrated into group memory due to long-term, extensive, frequent and close contact with the majority of people, so they have the vitality to develop into a genre and style in the concept of life. The Pompidou Center is a representative of one of the postmodernist schools of this style.
