UN Post Office 2026 New Year's Horse Tickets for the Year of the Chinese Zodiac
The design of the Chinese Zodiac Horse Ticket for the Year of Bingwu issued by the United Nations Post Office is inspired by the bronze ware "Bronze Running Horse" of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The front hoof of the steed is soaring and the rear foot is steady, showing the beauty of the power of moving out and helping each other.
The visual structure draws on the composition logic of Dunhuang algae wells-central symmetry, four-sided extension, layer-by-layer progression. As a decorative dome pattern on the top of the temple, the caisma is a symbol of the universe, time and divinity; here it is geometrically deconstructed and reshaped into the visual field of the horse galloping, making the horse gallop and the cultural weight blend, presenting the tension between tradition and modernity, movement and stillness.
In terms of style, the plane composition and vector graphic language of modern illustration are used to emphasize decoration and symbol sense: the horse body is composed of collage block surfaces interlaced with geometric patterns and traditional totems. The picture not only has oriental "full composition" aesthetics, but also maintains the clarity and order of contemporary vision.
The color matching uses the common mineral tones of Dunhuang murals: yellow, peacock blue, lotus root powder and brick red, which not only restores the gentle texture of the millennium murals, but also gives Bingwuma a strong historical tension and national aesthetics.
This stamp entrusts artist Pan Hu's best wishes to the people of the world-may we, like this red color, rush to a brighter, peaceful and prosperous future.
