When designing each product, it is like a blank sheet of paper. We can have different directions and choices. So at that time, when we were designing this product, we chose the cylindrical shape, and then in terms of size, we made it about 70MM, which is slightly larger than the thermos cup. Whether it is a boy or a girl, the experience of picking up this product is just right. The point about the size is that we consider that users will be in different application scenarios, such as desktop, bedside table and car. The design of this product is too large, so it is difficult to put it in the thermos cup tube of the car. Therefore, when we choose this size, we can apply it to different application scenarios.

When we design this product, it is divided into cup body and cup lid. The upper and lower parts are in the golden section, so it looks more comfortable visually. In our choice of color matching and appearance treatment, what we thought at first was the effect of direct injection molding with a mold, without secondary appearance treatment, but when we got the sample, we found that this was not the effect we wanted in our mind.

We pushed the color scheme to a new end, using more complex processes and higher manufacturing costs to achieve the desired results. First of all, we made a vacuum water plating on the top cover, which looks more like a metal key. On the surface of the shell, a layer of silicone hand paint is sprayed, which feels more delicate, soft and comfortable, so there is a qualitative improvement in the experience.

Regarding the choice of function, we found that most of the similar products have a function, that is, the water mark, which allows users to see how much the water level is, we keep asking ourselves, do users really need it? The best design is to let users not worry about it, so we canceled the design of the water mark and adopted the six-hour automatic power-off and dry-burning prevention function to achieve the same purpose.
