"Fish Play Lotus"

Reflecting the "Madhyamaka" thought, focusing on the cultural and philosophical thinking of the Chinese, the personal understanding of the Madhyamaka is two aspects. One is to re-examine traditional products with the aesthetics of modern Chinese. Second: to knead the connection between people, animals and objects as a middle person. The design work is called [Fish Play Lotus], which originated from the lotus year in ink painting (Figure 1). It is a fish feeding device, polymer foam material, placed in a fish tank, floating on the water like a lotus leaf (Figure 2). The inside of the product can be filled with fish food, and there are dense small holes at the bottom (Figure 3). Fish like to play under the lotus leaves very much. When the fish food absorbs water and is saturated, it will swell and soft. When the fish touches the product, the fish food will be scattered. During the Spring Festival, people can automatically feed fish when they go out to visit friends. In addition, they can watch the fun brought by "fish playing lotus. The rain hits the lotus canopy, there is stillness and movement, such as the infinite green lotus leaves in the poem, and the lotus flowers in the sun are very red (Figure 4). Reproduce the traditional harmonious artistic conception.

Behind the design:
1. Graphics and Functions:
(Figure 5), after some exploration, guided by the theory of graphics and function, the design hopes that the meaning of graphics is combined with the use of semantics and functions, and the use of flat graphics to reflect and judge decisions. The circular outer edge reflects the "meaning of lotus leaf". The hollow figure is "lotus bone flower". Through the "hollow", users can clearly see the use state of fish food. The figure and function are combined, lotus leaf veins are integrated into the figure, and lotus canopy is quoted in the hollow hole at the bottom (Figure 6). Take Figure 5 as an example. In Figures A and B, we hope to screen white lotus flowers, but the expression seems to be redundant. In Figure C, it is hoped that the circular hollow will combine with the lotus flower. In Figures D, E and F, the complicated lotus is discarded and discussed with flower bones, simplifying the edge of the lotus and showing the simplest embodiment. In Figures G, H, and I, in order to balance vision and use, the final choice I is the most reasonable and reflects the above goals.

2. Aesthetic pictures under the new management scene:
Absorb the essence of Chinese painting, concise and comprehensive, with a large area of white space, dense and scattered size (Figure 7). The color matching of the product is vermilion, emerald green and white to create a Chinese ink picture. The product size is equivalent to that of goldfish and is more integrated with the fish tank environment. The number of products is large and small to meet the size of the fish, and create the beauty of the size of the composition.
