The starting point of this series design is to solve the problem that the traditional hand-washing-free flat mop uses the scraper to wipe water to squeeze the mop moisture, which is laborious to use due to the friction between the scraper and the cloth surface. We have designed a brand-new structure that imitates hand twisting to squeeze out the water of the mop. Through structural improvement and innovation, we finally realize the four claws at the front end of the mop to rotate and tighten through the pulling grip, thus making the mop rotate and wring out. Because the screw is used in the structure to drive the mop to rotate, it becomes very smooth and labor-saving in use, and perfectly solves the laborious problem of the traditional scraper.
In the appearance design of the first generation of products, we considered how to make the product reflect the uniqueness of its use function from the appearance. Therefore, we boldly adopted asymmetric interlaced modeling lines and twisted ridge line modeling, which made the product have a very unique design modeling language and fit the design rules that form obeys function.
In the design of the second generation and the third generation, we have made more breakthrough design innovations. In the second generation design, we have changed the inherent size of the rectangle of the traditional flat mop, shortening the four claws of the first generation products to a size close to the square. As the shortened four claws make the claw spacing larger, it just solves the problem that the first generation of mop cannot be squeezed out. The three generations of products are further innovated. We found that removing one claw has no effect on the product structure and use, but can save more materials. Therefore, we have the final version of three claw. The three products well reflect the design thinking process of continuous optimization and replacement of products.
