From the disappearing city bazaars, a glimpse of the changing China. Xi 'an, the oldest city in China, is also undergoing great changes. Xicang Market, in this old city, appears in a specific place and at a specific time. This kind of market itself is extremely rare. There is no fixed building in Xicang Market. For the place, it is only borrowed. On the sidewalk, under the eaves, under the trees, and under the porch, where stalls can be accommodated, they are all accommodated; the stalls are used. Most of the things are misappropriated, or used instead, tricycles, marching beds, and cardboard boxes are all convenient to carry and low in material; signs are simple because of the dark. The people in the Xicang market are even more vivid, full of the smell of fireworks. The content of "Shijing Xicang" contains a large number of visual elements, such as photos, hand-painted and illustrations, which show the choice of stalls, the way of distribution and the design of handwritten signboards by the vendors in Xicang in various ways. Therefore, in the design, try to keep the visual content itself present, which is what this book wants to convey. In the design process, try to "de-design" to show the richness of the Xicang market itself, and avoid excessive design affecting the attention to the content, and strive to be concise in the design language, and try to "just present".
