The Sea Slug Hotel to be built in Dasha'ao, Nanji Island is an important part of the island-wide development project of Nanji International Tourism Island. The design of the hotel is inspired by the famous marine life in the waters of Nanji Island, such as sea slugs and other shellfish. This mollusk-like sea slug sits on the beach, lifting its torso with its soft tentacles and stretching its tentacles to explore in different directions. The public part of the hotel is like a space floating on the beach. The beach floor merges with the hotel and becomes an outdoor playground in the shadow of the upper building. These "tentacles" connect people from the beach floor to restaurants and bars, spa centers and swimming pools, and to the public spaces above. There is a private garden above the public floor, which is specially designed for hotel guests. The hotel rooms are located in two shell-like buildings, and most of them have a beautiful view of the sea. With its organic form and flexible connection, the architecture merges the boundary between architecture and landscape; like a beautiful sea slug dormant in a calm bay. The public floors extend into different parts of the site. The road passes through the building, embracing the West Bay and overlooking the East Bay, with a gentle curve that matches the hills to the north. There are some raised hills from the common floor to the platform, and these are part of the landscape of the roof garden system. The hotel rooms are placed in glass-clad shells, and the vast majority of rooms have sea views, providing high-quality vacations. Building from west to east, sunrise and sunset can enjoy the best views. In addition, many advanced environmental protection technologies are used in this case to minimize the impact on the site environment. The first is to restore Shawan to its natural state. The organic form allows it to blend in with the environment, and the shadows cast on the beach allow the public space to be used in the hot summer sun without air conditioning. Rainwater harvesting devices are installed at the top of the public floors, and the double shell of the hotel tower is naturally ventilated. Biological waste processors generate energy from waste without incineration. In addition, organic shapes can be an inspiration for visitors to explore the beauty and secrets of the sea.
