Original Design of Puxiang Network Phase 4

This is a project that can be traced back to almost 2 years ago. It sounds like I am a veteran, but it is only less than 3 years.

Looking back on this project, I have gained a lot. I have accumulated methods, consciousness and design performance. I am grateful for every project I participated in and everyone I met.

In the process of hand-held pan-tilt project, the early stage of design is very important, especially for designers who did not know much about such products before. Therefore, the 80% time of this project is spent on clearing up ideas and understanding products. It is much more important to figure out how to do it than to do it faster.

I won't say much about the background of the project. Let's go straight to the picture above. This is the typesetting of OSMO, my copy of Xinjiang spirit eyes! I often imitate the expression I like when I see it privately.

These are the general effects of hand-held use, and the scene brings in the temperament that can help customers better perceive the product.

The early stage of the design takes up most of the time of this project. First of all, we analyze the population. The characteristics, labels, preferences, income level and so on of these people can help us judge what kind of temperament the products used by these people are and whether they can dig out their cultural identity and resonance for the hand-held PTZ in other fields.

Around the crowd, we can extend some usage scenarios, and different scenarios will guide us to think, is it necessary to consider the design details such as waterproof, dustproof and anti-skid? Do we need more accessories to meet the use of these scenarios?

In the early stage of design, it seems to many people that it is a bit empty. It simply shows the workload. In fact, it is a different way of thinking. In the early stage of design, it only helps us to think clearly and consider some details as much as possible. As for whether it is necessary to show our thinking process to customers and bosses, at least we have really thought about it.

Dajiang, GoPro, Zhiyun, Xiaomi and many other brands have hand-held Yuntai products. We read as much information as possible about all brands and products, list their selling prices, models, and analyze their brand design language, modeling style, advantages and disadvantages.

For the most important direct competitors, we analyze their CMF and modeling. The trend can be seen from many products and our positioning can be determined. Of course, we also took each real machine to experience for more than a month, in order to really compare the advantages and disadvantages between, to help us avoid a lot of unreasonable.

Most of the time in a certain field, customers often know more about products than designers, and it is difficult to exchange any good ideas under the condition of unequal information. What we have to do is to make up lessons crazily.

Handheld PTZ is a special case, because the product has many details and complex shapes, so we have a 3.5 plan when dealing with such products, copying all competing products of hand-held PTZ for 3 days to help us perceive the shape and surface proportion of hand-held PTZ products, and copying intention map for 0.5 days to help us find the design feeling.

Of course, these sketches of copying products and intention maps are not shown. The following is a sketch of the real plan. Forgive me for being a science student.

In fact, this product has raised many breakthrough points in the early stage of design, and there are also some manifestations in the sketch, including bringing its own 2.4-inch screen, which can view the scene and composition anytime and anywhere, 90-degree rotating screen, etc. Considering that the customer is making Yuntai for the first time, the price positioning is not high, so they all compromised.

However, in terms of appearance design and details, the whole product has been improved. Traditional hand-held pan-tilt products have many organic curved surfaces, fading surfaces and irregular curves to reflect the professionalism of the products.

But we need to do subtraction, change the design method, the whole design has two elements, square guide circle, texture. Handle, camera, key, square guide circle elements to the end, the product will be coordinated.

Soft rubber non-slip texture, rich details while taking into account the use. The handle of the square guide circle is actually more conducive to holding. The hand itself is close to the square guide circle in the natural holding state, rather than the right circle. At the same time, the handle is actually divided into front and back sides, and the circle is difficult to sense its direction when holding!

The thumb should take into account the operation of the three keys. We compared the keys of Dajiang and Xiaomi to get a more labor-saving arrangement. We also made foaming models for verification, but unfortunately we didn't take photos to save them at that time.

At that time, we provided 3 kinds of battery disassembly methods, and the customer finally chose this one. Placing the battery obliquely at 45 degrees will not increase the width of the handle as much as possible.

The secret "flower picking" thief

The original intention of the plan is to design a practical, cost-controllable and market-oriented solid wood desk. Therefore, the design is started from the perspectives of use, storage and space.

During the investigation, I observed and analyzed the desktops of some users and found various items: desk lamps, electric boards, books, stereos, pens, computers, mobile phones, mice, water cups, snacks, cats and some messy gadgets.

Especially when there are cats (the designer is a cat slave), they jump around, push everything down, spread out their bodies and hold your draft. Facts have proved that with cats, they cannot work and study well.

The simple table top highlights the solid wood texture, and the edge of the table is obliquely cut, so it will not hurt hands. A groove is opened on the front edge of the table to lead the power cord.

Felt enclosure can effectively prevent items from falling, and the semi-enclosed small area brings a sense of psychological self-space, but pray that cat masters do not use it as a cat grab board.

Before determining the material of the enclosure, I found a lot of fabrics, such as cloth, leather, felt, grid, etc. and made a number of enclosures.

The leather will be more delicate and fashionable, and the fabric texture is too delicate. Finally, I feel that the texture and warmth of felt are matched with the desk style.

In order to hide the electric plug board, a metal partition is added behind the table, punching, bending, and spraying plastic. It is a very simple process.

For the analysis of drawers, first classify and sort out common desk items, sum up common sizes, and then divide the drawers into cells. The drawer I hope is flat, straightforward, panoramic, everything, and organized.

Finally, the desk is designed with three different sizes to adapt to different spaces, namely 0.9m\1.2m\1.5m.
