"Kaiwen Looking at Design Series"-A New Chapter in 2020
Product Name: Nike Space Concept Shoes
Designer: Mark Newsom
Design time: 2014
Do you remember seeing these shoes? In the past few years, the shoes all over the street were all this kind of cave shoes, and its popularity was led by the Nike shoes designed by Mark Newsom.
In 2014, Nike announced the return of the space concept shoe "Zvezdochka" designed by Mark Newson at Christmas. The two sides cooperated as early as 10 years ago. Today, ten years later, the two sides have decided to re-release this avant-garde design of the super-space concept. The design inspiration of this shoe comes from the vast space. In terms of appearance, the designer adopts a round hollow inclined plane design, supplemented by soft and comfortable inner boots, which brings excellent foot feeling and perfectly matches the non-prismatic design style pursued by Newson.
The ZVEZDOCHKA is named after a Russian dog that went to space in 1961. Its design was inspired by seeing astronauts wearing socks to train on the walls of the space capsule. Mark Newson also gave this shoe a little sci-fi flavor, using a round hollow upper design, with soft and comfortable replaceable inner boots, adhere to its consistent non-angular product design style, simple and bright colors and covered with small holes in the vamp constitute a strong contrast visual effect.
Mark Newsom's design can always find a proper balance between design and art. He does not deliberately pursue the simple style of modernism, nor does he do tedious design stacking. His design concept is always more popular than the current popular design. The style is ahead, but it seems to be the popular direction we like. This should also be the reason why he is called the "designer of the future!
