This project was originally supposed to be Daewoo II instant food pot, and the project time is the end of 2023. At that time, the first-generation instant noodles had been on the market for almost two years, and the original plan should be to withdraw from the market, so the new second-generation pot was put on the agenda.

As a result, the first-generation pot is still in the market, while the second-generation pot was designed for Sam Bao (Daewoo and Sam Bao are brother companies).

I have made a total of 8 plans before and after this instant pot project, which is really a drain on my brain. I have a neutral style similar to that of the first generation, and I also have designs with extreme science fiction trends. As a designer, I naturally think that every design has bright spots. But what was chosen in the end was the design of this independent UI.

The starting point of the design is one of the design requirements: there are two SKU's, electronic and mechanical. From this point of view, I came up with the idea of making the UI part independent as a module, and the two interactions can be replaced. The difference between the two versions is realized on the smallest parts, reducing the complexity of the mold, and making the independent UI a unique visual identity for the product.

In the end, I left the company after only taking part in the revision of the landing plan. I thought there would be no later article. After half a year, I suddenly saw Blue Treasure on the shelves and felt a little dazed for an instant. Blue Treasure is still too avant-garde!
