Project background: In February 2024, our team accepted the design commission of the NOMNOMBOX team. NOMNOMBOX, a catering brand dedicated to high-end light food customization, focuses on creating exquisite and nutritionally balanced Chinese dining experience for urban consumers pursuing health and quality of life.
Market Insight: Before formally embarking on the design, we conducted an in-depth investigation of the food and beverage takeaway market and came to a series of valuable packaging conclusions: takeaway packaging generally has pain points such as insufficient functionality, serious homogenization, and environmental impact.
Design objectives: 1. Improve the functionality of the lunch box: to achieve flexible assembly and matching of SKU dishes. 2. Reduce costs, improve brand recognition, increase brand traffic and repurchase rate. 3. Use environmentally friendly materials to reduce environmental pollution.
Brand Strategy Visual Hammer: The NOMNOMBOX takes "balance" as the core, and conveys the brand image of precise control card through font design and fried egg graphics. Balance is control, comfort and long-term doctrine. Design performance is carried out through adjustment. Staggered O forms a triangular balance system. One O forms an omelette together, and the uniqueness of the brand is simply expressed. Omelette graphics as a brand visual hammer for independent publicity and repeated dissemination. It will also be used in online social media, packaging materials, peripheral and other brand extensions. The slogan: "Achieve healthy balance with Chinese-style light food". Visual hammer language nail implantation user mind.
Packaging design: wedge inlaid lunch box, walking A- type billboard. The three modules are assembled into a stable triangular standing card, which is detachable and flexible, and is integrated into the use of non-plastic materials to reduce environmental pollution. The bottom plate of the lunch box is provided with openings, which is convenient for loading drinks, desserts or salad dressing. The box type design is flexible and can be freely matched according to the order requirements. No matter how many boxes of dishes customers order, they can be assembled and matched to solve the environmental pollution problem of using multiple plastic handbags for regular takeout. The innovative box design not only enhances brand recognition and transforms packaging into a mobile advertising medium, but also solves the problems of structural convenience and multi-functional collocation. To enhance the customer's dining experience, but also for the brand to bring efficiency, publicity, and environmental protection of the triple value.
