Since a policy released in Beijing in 2015, prohibiting smoking public indoor space, smokers run into the outdoor smoking space during the short break. Smokers in old downtown have a habit to smoke anywhere and throw away cigarette butts on the street since no smoking space is defined. The pink drain cover holds a perforated me-tal container underneath. which is capable of receiving cigarette butts. It would be more efficient than establishing smoking space. The ash tray was installed for ten days. Contrary to our expectation, the collected cigarette butts were very little. This was an evidence that they realized that they have bad habit.
