Personally, I feel that it will be more harmonious to make a depression on the side and hide the ears in the overall appearance.
Very, very interesting ideas!! I can't help thinking a lot.
When I pinch small things, the finger sockets of my thumb and index finger usually contact first, and then the two fingers bite like gears, extending the connection to the fingertips of the fingers. Very subtle two points, 1. My thumb usually touches a point on the outside of the forefinger fossa, not the center. 2. Before pinching is also the occlusal process, there is a "V" angle between the two fingertips. When the charging treasure is generally 70±10mm, the switch is about 6mm under my rough measurement. I folded a similar model with paper and inserted it into the angle between my thumb and index finger. because of the contact area and the contact angle, its "presence" is very weak.
Regarding the improvement of its presence and use experience, I want to have an interlocking relationship with the overall shape/cross-sectional shape/surface texture. In addition, regarding the psychological suggestion, it is difficult for me to imagine that the partially regular rounded rectangle is a playful Dotty Guy, which is the same/similar (at least visually) resin as the side dividing layer, making me feel that it seems to be a hard button instead of a candy candy that surprises people. If it is really a hard button, the work will lose a lot of color and face the problem of reliability and durability (inevitable bump).
Hope it is an organic form, stretched rubber/cowhide/melted ice cream, or a beautiful curve. If it is not a key, the side part can be seamless. This is not the pursuit of craftsman spirit, but the user may also care about these seams in the product. A device similar to a pull rope switch is set in the rubber or at the end. When pinching and stretching, even the mechanical texture and sound of clicking will occur. That's all for the time being ~ ~ ~
