The earphone is a "two-point" fixed wearing method, that is, it is fixed to ears of different sizes by rotation (invention patent). In-depth research on ergonomics has solved the pain points in the industry. The hollow window in the middle is implanted with interesting behavior operations. I accidentally discovered that the index finger can push out the headset from the window, accompanied by the sound of Kaka magnet adsorption. Since the Note20 was launched in August 2019, it has been crowdfunding in Indiegogo and makuake with its ultra-thin appearance and rotatable wear. This product is my third start-up project, leading business planning, brand and product strategy, marketing and promotion, engineering and mass production. This article takes the note20 project as an example, does not involve business, brand, marketing, etc., and only shares the views of design creation and technology. Specifically share the decision-making and thinking in the product development process, and summarize and resume the product after it goes on the market. Specifically, it includes design philosophy drive, design psychological activities, application of design techniques, in-depth thinking on product extension, design decision-making, experimental comparison, balance with engineering, etc.

One: A new type of architecture that stands out from the crowd
The initial state of design is psychological activity or philosophical guidance. Inner thoughts drive you to find the appearance of hope. During the search process, you examine your own thoughts and evaluate repairs, and constantly adjust your mental state and thinking mode. The perspective affects thinking and produces behavioral results. This is also the origin of the design. Different results of the origin are very different, which produces appearance, utility model, invention, etc.
1.1 differentiation
Products need to differentiate and implant innovation. First: Regarding the understanding of product differentiation, I benefit from the channel business's guidance on differentiation, consult the descriptive words about "same" and "different" and try to summarize the rules and commonalities, and convert the word "differentiation" into "Design innovation" is beneficial to guide designers to think innovatively. Second, the proportion of novelty and acceptance of designers is still troubled. However, it is difficult to describe it with graphics in the early stage of creation, but it can be further refined and defined by words and rhetoric. Third: differentiation is not only the difference and difference of appearance, but also the common understanding of designers and product operators.
As shown in Figure 1, design innovation is discussed. Same: Keep the same place as the current product, where users have accepted and become accustomed. Different: Inject fresh and novel different places to increase strangeness. According to the direction of the heart, from the perspective of the same (a), the heart drives the design with a high degree of novelty and a big difference, and the a-1 is different and the a-2 is different. The heart drives the design with a high degree of acceptance and the same design, which results in a-3 seeking common ground while reserving differences and a-4 similarities. The origin of 1.2 design
As shown in Figure 1 above, under the guidance of thinking and insights, start thinking about this product. The design of this project uses a different perspective, that is, "big difference, small difference". If the external form is very different, each part will be very different. From the big point of view, small start, from the source to find the entry point to bring the ultimate difference.
Driven by this word, I conceived a number of ideas, pursuing a state of "the source concept is novel enough, behind it is supported by experience, and externally there is formal recognition. According to the category theory derived from the origin of species, the concept of source directly produces a new type of architecture. If the architecture is similar to the competition, although the designer has exhausted various modeling techniques, it will be difficult to break away from the similarity or plagiarism. The reason is that the architecture and bones are similar. Human perception judgment always falls into one category. The designer's thinking is to create a new species category and build a new skeleton. Different from shaping product image to enhance brand awareness. As shown in Figure 2, the source is a T-shaped flat piece that can be stuck in the ear and can be worn by rotation adjustment.
The similarity of the structure needs to be defined from the source. Pay attention to three points, ①. It is necessary to break the inertial thinking and stylized thinking. Sometimes people who can't design suddenly have an idea that is different from the source. In one sentence, the description is profound and deeply interested. ②. Looking for a new architecture requires obvious progress in technical solutions, invention patents to support, and patent maintenance. ③. The full name of R & D and design of product architecture should be controlled behind it. As shown in Figure 3, it shows the collaborative R & D and production process of exterior design, maximizing the maintenance of core concepts and continuously optimizing and polishing. The concept of T-shape forms a new type of architecture. The advantage is that the earphone is very flat (only 10mm thick). In the subsequent refinement and beautification process, the original architecture will not be separated and the iconic feature of "flat" will be strengthened. Then, the design of the box will use square pieces to convey the concept of ultra-thin, so that the earphone has no cover for self-protection, and the earphone will be completely naked and.

1.3 design techniques
As shown in Figure 3, the use of design techniques after concept determination. The figure describes a total of six stages from the concept to the final beautification. Figure 1 is a T-shaped conceptualization, shaping a brand-new earphone form. The advantage is that it can be plugged into the ear, worn firmly, and can be rotated and adjusted. This stage has product image and competitive advantage. Fig. 2 becomes smooth at the depth of the ear and the corners, so that it fits the skin better when worn. at this stage, it looks for differences and has experience. Fig. 3 is to enter an engineering process. the designer first puts the board battery, horn and other important components into the basic form. these arrangements also restrict the peripheral shape to adjust and optimize. this is a two-way process. Fig. 4 is an engineering refinement, with electronics, structure and acoustics involved to make a complete refinement of the model. the engineering and structure are very reasonable, and then the production requirements can be met through verification such as hand board. Fig. ⑤ is a re-refinement of man-machine. due to the modification of the shape in the previous stage, aesthetics and ergonomics are affected. After the electronic design of the structure is completed, it does not mean that the shape has been confirmed, so the shape can be further beautified on the basis of this premise. Figure ⑥ is an important process of geometric beautification. The shape of the earphone is formed by the five circles and four circles tangent to each other. Taking into account geometric aesthetics and ergonomics, and making these parameters clear, each parameter of the model has an integer to describe, for example, R1 = 9mm, corresponding to the longitudinal distance of the ear cavity. R2 = 24mm, the corresponding tragus space can accommodate a sphere with a diameter of 24mm. R3 = 8mm, corresponding to the corner of the ear channel can fit an 8mm sphere. R4 = 2mm, corresponding to 2mm fillet tragus will not cause damage.
As mentioned above, the understanding of differentiation becomes mental practice and practice. The origin of design becomes the origin of art, which needs to be explored. Design techniques need to learn others and precipitate yourself. This stage is called the designer looking for a new type of architecture to stand out from the crowd.

II. Appearance Design and Engineering Design
Headphones are small-sized products, and it is extremely difficult to solve problems in a small space, which requires win-win cooperation in appearance design and engineering design. Why do details look like this? Details are caused by multiple problems, and multiple problems are solved skillfully at the same time. Appearance design is a problem, and structural electronic assembly is a multi-problem. Many parties have a deep understanding of their wishes, complete each other, seek their intersection, and make concerted efforts to maximize the product experience. Seeing the presentation of a detail feels attractive and agrees after understanding the reasons behind it. The textual research in the details is the embodiment of ingenuity and mentality as well as wisdom. Details are the attitude of multiple cooperation to keep improving.

III. Appearance Design and Electronic Design
This is mainly to explain the decision-making and experiment of appearance design and electronic design.
3.1 stacking
Stacking directly and indirectly affects industrial design. For high-tech products, the advantage of stacking first is that the electronic functions are accurate, the export model test is feasible, and the ID design is based on this. (1) the best stacking is not a structural engineer one thing, is the three parties together to confirm. Ensure that the ID is designed smoothly next, and the designer will lead or participate in the stacking. (2) There is an initial concept to guide the stack, and the three parties go in this direction. The traditional stacking is just a module and has no new experience. (3) After the designer stacks up the streets, he knows the places that can be changed, which is convenient for ID design. (Figure X, List of Possibilities of Electronic Architecture) is the concept leader, guiding electronic stacking, in which 4 schemes are generated and evaluated with (Figure X, decision-making optimal electronic architecture) to ensure basic functions, operations, signals, etc. Therefore, decision-making should be systematic, far-sighted and based on technology. The risk arises after the omission of pre-design production.

3.2 electronic arrangement
(1) The intersection of industrial design and electronic design, fully understand the correlation between electronics and ID, and the intersection of signals are: 1. Charging contacts. 2. (Figure X, key component placement position) is the placement position determined by the designer and the electronics. (2) Small to be tested repeatedly to ensure a small area, especially in the headphone layout design requires compact to ensure wearing, this on the component position and wiring to be tested repeatedly. (3) electronic interference, in the antenna clearance size, crystal oscillator position, the correctness of the schematic diagram. For example, [Airoha] has more than 80 electronic components in AB1532, which requires 110mm ³ to be laid out. If the antenna is in the board, an additional 3mm of clearance needs to be widened. In short, the placement of key components affects the appearance design and electronic arrangement, which requires close cooperation.
