Product introduction:
U-COR is an outdoor children's location-aware device designed for blind parents.
U-COR was inspired by the "umbilical cord". We naturally think that there is a close connection between mother and child, but for blind parents, the lack of vision forms an obstacle. Blind parents can only fully perceive the existence of their children by touching and listening carefully. When going out, it is more difficult for blind parents to perceive the position and dynamics of their children, which makes blind parents anxious, panic and even self-doubt about their role.
The U-COR APP can record the positioning information of the child module in real time, and process the orientation and angle information of the parent module. The relative distance and orientation between the child module and the parent module are converted into motor vibration information of different frequencies and amplitudes and transmitted to the parent module. When the child is about to exceed the warning range, the sub-module will carry out vibration warning. Relieve the anxiety of parents of blind children who do not know where their children are when they go out with them.

Demographic data:
According to the IAPB statistics of the total number of visually impaired population available, 14% of people with varying degrees of vision loss, the total number increased to 1.1 billion. Among them, the number of blind people reached 430000, 0.295 billion people had moderate to severe visual impairment, 0.258 billion people had mild visual impairment, and 0.51 billion people had myopia problems.
Social background:
Currently, married people account for more than 40% of the total visually impaired population. Since the visually impaired group is the better economically and physically conditioned group among the disabled, with a Senior high school education level of 42 per cent, and the marriage fertility rate appears to be above average, blind couples are increasingly inclined to raise their children.

problems in the process of blind parenting:
· Unsure of the position of the child's mouth when feeding. Many blind mothers are frustrated by their inability to accurately locate their babies' mouths while feeding.
· Insufficient intake of water when preparing baby food. Unable to see the water level, the blind mother had to put her finger into the bottle to touch the water when she was making milk.
Difficulty confirming the child's location and safety. Most blind parents take their children out by holding hands and carrying their children on their backs, but the nature of their children makes them inevitably break away from their parents and run away alone.
· Psychological problems caused by various factors. In the process of raising children, they often feel depressed, self-blame, nervous or irritable because of physical defects.

Research:
Analysis of the main audience of the product-the main characteristics of blind parents
Blind parents with different eyesight, occupation and family situation have different needs and acceptance of products. Visual impairment is divided into four levels, of which visual impairment level 1 and visual impairment level 2 are completely blind. After a large number of user research, the users of this product are positioned as blind parents with first-and second-level visual impairment.
· Analyze the age of the sighted children of another audience for the product-blind families.
Children of different ages have different needs for free activities outside, and blind parents have different degrees of confidence in them. According to this age analysis, we can find out the age group with the highest degree of product adaptation, and then carry out more in-depth design. Among them, children aged 3-7 are another of our user locations.
