[Project] Little Monster Scooter | Children's Fun Imagination under Minimalist Shell
[Creative Background] In May 2021, two years after the launch of the little dinosaur K1 scooter, we achieved good market feedback, and we began to think about the next direction. The development of cartoon IP has not continued. We found from several offline shopping malls and online children's products research that the image of little monster has the same attraction as little dinosaur in children's hearts, and no other product company or design company has broken through. Based on this insight, we took the "little monster" as a creative starting point and opened the design of this product. The appearance seems simple, but in fact it contains a lot of thinking.

[Design Highlights] The front head is the most time-consuming part of the whole project. We cleverly hide the steering mechanism in the spherical front head to integrate the functional structure and appearance. The small monster soft rubber horns at the front end are the finishing touch, adding children's interest and improving the recognition. The folding area was one of the details we were most pleased. Compared with the common complex openings, we use rounded rectangles to pass them by, and the lines of the pedal appearance are naturally integrated, very simple and clean. The overall shape to "simple, abstract cartoon" as the core logic, tailored for the Japanese children's brand "Kui. From appearance to structure, every stroke is serving "minimalism" and "childlike interest.
