Inspiration from the small: Water bottles everywhere

When Deng Yumian, founder of LEAPX and designer of Mavic Pro, was on an outdoor hike in Yosemite National Park, his mind was always thinking about the size and shape of the pocket drone. After inadvertently taking out his mountain water bottle and sipping it, an idea suddenly flashed: the size of the bottle body is enough to accommodate qualified drone components, and it is easy to carry, go out for hiking, who won't bring a bottle of water? General backpacks, outdoor equipment will be pre-designed to store the water bottle space, there is no more appropriate size than this!

For the design of folding unmanned aerial vehicles, there are many things that need to be considered: how to select and stack components? How can the wings be deployed easily and quickly? How can its flight performance and stability be maximized? How can the fuselage have a good appearance when folded and unfolded? A great design requires elegant and intelligent answers to the above questions. With this initial intention, our Mavic research and development road has begun.

Extreme to every detail-when the blades are stowed, they fit perfectly on the folded fuselage. The lens gimbal can be highly integrated into the fuselage and is well protected. The semi-automatic rotating shaft can ensure the operation convenience and reliability of the opening and closing of the machine arm.

It has a clever quick-release folding paddle design, because the paddle itself is a thin sheet, as long as it can fit on other surfaces, it can hardly occupy space volume. Therefore, through calculation and design, the blades can be tightly attached to the upper and lower parts of the fuselage after folding. At this point, the folding form is basically perfect, each module is in place, closely combined into a whole, almost no waste of space.
