1. Design Analysis
Use scenario: the central blood station and the blood transfusion department of the tertiary hospital provide 25-50 Gy of X-ray irradiation for blood products to inactivate lymphocytes.
Core appeal:
• Safety-zero leakage from radiation shielding in accordance with IEC 60601-1-3.
• High efficiency-a single 6 min can handle 4-6 units of blood bags, supporting continuous operation.
• Easy to use-a key program, can be operated without protective training.
2. Design Language
Form: Cube "safety box" language, R20mm continuous rounded corners, weakening the cold sense of industrial equipment.
Color: medical white main body + deep space gray anti-collision belt + high warning atomic red waist line, transmitting the dual semantics of "radiation" and "safety.
Material:
• Shell 2 mm sheet metal + antibacterial powder coating, resistant to 84 disinfectant.
8 mm lead glass observation window on the front, light transmittance ≥ 85%, radiation attenuation 99%.
3. Design Details
Slide Drawers:
• 500 mm travel damping slide, one hand 15 N can be completely pulled out;
The blood bag tray in the drawer is inclined at 30 °, automatically centered and positioned to avoid irradiation dead ends.
Interaction:
• The 7 ″ capacitive screen is embedded in a 10 ° inclined plane, flush with the waistline, without any cleaning dead angle;
The physical emergency stop button is 30 mm in diameter, 2 mm in red protrusion, and can be operated blindly with gloves.
Cooling:
Internal U-shaped air duct + silent fan, the whole noise ≤ 48 dB;
• Surface temperature rise ≤ 8°C to ensure the activity of blood components.
Maintenance:
• Magnetic attraction of the rear cover +1/4 turn quick release lock, open for 30 s;
• Modular X-ray source drawer, which can be replaced by two persons in 5 min.
4. ergonomics
Operating height: drawer center 850 mm from the ground, matching Asian female P50 elbow height (elbow height 960mm).
Operating posture:
• Place the blood bag horizontally, wrist flexion angle ≤ 15 °;
• Drawer closing force ≤ 20 N to avoid shoulder strain.
Vision:
• The observation window is 120 mm × 80mm, and all pallets can be seen when the line of sight is 40 cm away from the window;
• The angle between the screen and the vertical plane is 100 °, and there is no reflection when standing or sitting.
Move:
4 100 mm medical silent casters at the bottom, with brakes on the first two;
The whole machine is 95 kg and can move with thrust ≤ 80 N.
Summary
The blood irradiator integrates lead shielding, X-ray source and refrigeration air duct into a volume of 0.35 m³ with the cubic vocabulary of "safety box". Through details such as slide drawer, inclined surface interactive window, magnetic back cover, etc., while ensuring zero radiation leakage, one-handed operation and 30-second fast maintenance are realized, and "high radiation equipment" is truly designed into an easy-to-use experience like "ordinary household appliances.
